Hi gys. I've started a Sentinel with the intent of throwing out a crapton of biotic combos. I was wondering what is better for triggering biobombs, throw or warp? any damage advantages between the two?

I was also wondering what people think are the most important skills to invent points in on Liara?

Thanks all.

I believe you want to always warp first, then throw. Also make sure you pick up the Warp evolution that increases the radius of the biotic explosions. Though now that I think about it, you should also be able to throw, then warp. Don't know why I didn't think you could.

The key is to make sure you get the "+50% to Biotic Detonations" on both, since they stack. Rank matters as well, so make sure both ultimately get to Rank 6. Unless something has changed, Throw can't set up detonations, so Warp first.

When I setup Liara as my detonation buddy, I actually prioritized Singularity before anything else. With the right evolutions (including Rank 6 of Pure Biotic), her Singularity recharges lightning fast. So the detonation mechanic winds up becoming Liara's Singularity > Your Throw essentially without pause. The damage output isn't as high when using your Warp, but the rapidity of the setups largely makes up for it while providing excellent crowd control and stagger opportunities.

Also, since Liara's Singularity can suspend multiple enemies, I've been using Double Throw to great effect, since the bolts usually seek out different targets and result in double explosions.

I've been using this strategy on Hardcore for the last half of the game and now Insanity for most of the first half, and it's only been smooth sailing so far.

After tending to her Singularity, I then proceeded to level up Warp and Stasis, leaving Warp Ammo for last. The damage bonus to lifted targets rarely comes into play with the constant detonations, so I found that Incendiary Ammo from Vega was superior for my approach.

Here is a thought.

Both. I know this sounds strange but think about it.

Warp the foe first. Then throw. The result: an evil biotic detonation!

Sentinel has been stripped down on the biotic front. So why not add one of the following to your arsenal?

Slam: Sentinel lost Lift in ME 2. It was Miranda's special power. Now you have lift grenades. But due to limited uses you can't use lift whenever you want unless you get this power from Javik. Highly useful. Highly damaging with detonations, still highly damaging without detonations.

Stasis: The most loved biotic power. Even I have to admit it's incredibly useful. I'm annoyed I never unlocked this bonus power. But you can bring Liara whenever you want stasis.

Dark Channel: To set up detonations. Easiest method. (Throw or warp will hopefully finish the foe).

More biotic powers are recomended if you want to play quasi adept. Two won't satisify your biotic cravings.

Also try overloading and warping. You get a tech burst. Cryo blast is really useful if you bring EDI with incinerate (with evolution that synergises with cryo).
