 i have played this game before but that was ages ago on a totally different windows and finding the baldur.ini was no problem there... but now on windows 7 i only find a baldurs.ini that is way smaller and looks totally different from the old one (i kinda remember that there was much more text in the baldur.ini back in the days) and adding Debug Mode=1 wont change anything
now i know that you may not like that im cheating but i am just trying to change something minor with the cheats
if anyone knows how i can get this to work i'd be really happy

It sounds like you've installed the game to the default program files location. Using windows 7 this means that game files are kept in a 'hidden' location in your user account. You could find the file and change it, but I would recommend that you reinstall to another location, e.g. c:\\games\\BG as you are less likely to get bugs that way.

okay i will try that thanks and if it doesnt help where could i find the hidden files?

ok i reinstalled it to /games/BG but the baldur.ini is still the same...
i am not really good with such things can you tell me where exactly i can find the ini im looking for?

i now managed to find out how to unhide my folders but i still can't find the damn ini :'(
please help
