Anyone paying any attention whatsoever would know that hate for the ending is nearly universal.
That's as false an assumption as calling the Retake movement a "vocal minority" was.

Bioware has proven themselves to listen to fans with regards to Mass Effect. We see it in the changes they made to the second game, and to the third, and in the DLC they put out for Mass Effect 2. I think they would have listened to fan criticism about the ending no matter what form it came in.

Yes, we know we're powerful. It's nice to see gaming journalists starting to recognize that

It's not an assumption. Look around. Comments on BSN. On YouTube. Kotaku. IGN. Anywhere. The reaction is overwhelmingly negative.

Nobody here would remember that, though. Most only came in around Dragon Age and Mass Effect. Hell, I started a topic that referenced BG2 the other day and at leat 60% of the people who replied had no idea what it was.
I've always remained optimistic in my outlook when it cmes to Bioware, You've never done wrong by me, and when you have, you've fixed the problem pretty fast.

There's a huge difference between *listen* and give it the proper attention.

You know Bioware has made changes to the Mass Effect series based on fan feedback with every successive title right?Danilo Luis wrote...

You do realise that they have to fix the problem, too. What do you want them to do? Stop and make sure you're getting all of the attention, they can fix the game when you're adequately satisfied?
Ray Muzyka himself came down from the top to address you, you would do well to appreciate what he said. Any other company would have cut their losses, turned a blind eye and moved on. You're lucky Bioware is full of decent individuals.
If you'd have been a fan longer than you likely have been, you would know to trust them.

If you aren't willing to accept a response that disagrees with you, or aren't wililng to wait for an answer, or you insist that all of your issues must be resolved when you want them to be, then you're no longer making simple requests and giving feedback, are you? At that point, I would say you're making demands because you feel entitled to them, and we treat those very differently than we treat requests.Danilo Luis wrote...

But who asked for this ending? What feedback showed you (or rather the designers) that we wanted "space magic"? or a ending that can be summed as "Red, Green or Blue"? Also, did the feedback show that people who might want to import an ME1 Face would have problems? (I still would like to hear how you guys missed that)

There have been many positive reactions as well. The response to the ending was not universally bad, not even close.
