I don't think name calling and personal attacks help anyone's case, regardless of who they are and who they're referring to. That's as much of a statement as you'll get from me on any articles related to any of this, sorry. It's not really my place - I'm not on the ME team. Now, if you want my opinion on DA related stuff... well, I can't say much there, either. Whoops.

I didn't read your post because you opened with how you were ignoring something that's clearly shown in the game. There's no point in arguing with someone who does that.
And now you are trolling one another.
Will you please stop bickering with each other.
Obviously you both choose to disagree. Fighting won't change that. So walk away.
It gets annoying when both people end up resorting to trolling one another >,<

though it may seem contrary, this is a testament to how much our game has affected our fans and how much they care about our game and the franchise, and we can't (and don't) blame them for that.
Totally agree with this. If anything, people are mostly disappointed because a lot of us (me included) are really invested in the story and it hurt a lot of us to see the game end like this. Is it just a game? Yes. I do think though that what has happened here demonstrates that games are a more powerful art form than some people seem to think.
I haven't given up yet as I'm really hoping that the team that brought us Jade Empire, KotOR and the Mass Effect trilogy (minus the last ~15 minutes) is going to leave a legion of frustrated, pissed-off fans hanging. That being said, I wouldn't mind if you flew me to Edmonton and showed me what you guys are working on to assuage me.
EDIT: Slightly irrelevant. To me, the most moving moment to date in the Mass Effect trilogy was having Commander Shepard order the Alliance fleet to save the council. Watching this race of upstarts rushing to the aid of the galaxy's most powerful was a pretty moving moment (the soundtrack didn't hurt there)

BioWare has not defended its loyal fanbase against slanderous and vulgar attacks . And no I'm not saying poor Stan or anyone on this forum but I meant in general .
Not to mention highlighting every post about "sorry we can't talk to you about how we're going to address your concerns because some people are shouting rudely" is just wagging the dog so that they have a "proper excuse" to continue to ignore the vast vast ultravast majority of us that want answers .
But again , we don't deserve any answers . I'm not saying we do . We don't deserve empathy or even to be on this forum . This is all graciously provided by BioWare .
In the same way that we graciously provide them with our money .
Quid pro quo . If someone pulls out of an agreement , then we can do the same . And it will resound louder when company profits are down and they have to come up with a better strategy with dealing with people and products.
The only way companies understand if a strategy does not work is if it affects profits . No amount of reasoning with representatives will change that . It can facilitate hitting the mark , better , sure ! And that's why I was here for a while looking for ways to tell them what I want out of the DLC , but in the end if they just stonewall , then it's time for the customer to buy their art from a different artist .
If michelangelo refuses to remove the dog feces stuck on teh mona lisa's nose , then go to raphael and buy his stuff instead .

I can't talk to specifics, but it is not as easy as saying 'well, people want Y, let's tell them what we're doing!'. I know it can be frustrating, but once again I counsel patience.
Surely there's a middleground between "Let's tell them what we're doing!" and "Your call is very important to us, please hold." You can counsel patience all you'd like, but asking people to wait on hold for a month is just ridiculous...
To be fair, the open letter from Dr. Ray on his blog essentially said "We're working on something." It wasn't definitive what that something is, but he said they were working on an initiative. Does that mean they'll have DLC ready next week? Nope. But it means they're putting their heads together and trying to decide what they can do. Once that decision is made, approved, and the money is allocated, they can start telling us what their plans are.
I did not particularly *like* the wording he used in his letter, as I felt it was 2 parts defensive and 1 part concilliatory, but I can't really expect *more* from them until they figure out what they can do.
From everything I've seen, I genuinely believe they are as surprised and dismayed by our reactions as we were by the ending of the game. Until they settle how and what they intend to do, we can only wait and see.
As far as middle ground goes, there's not much more they can do but repeat "we're going to do something." We've pushed them as far as they can go right now. We just keep the pressure on (politely) and wait for them to "come to the table with an offer."

Wasn't this originally about a congratulatory thread about our efforts and now it's devolved into a thread about how bad we are? Due in no small part to the timely intervention of BW's PR team.
Probably just a coincidence.
Well, there's that interpretation, or there's the interpretation that, whatever one's opinion on the ending, we can all agree that personal insults and attacks have no place in online discourse. Personally, I'm going with the latter - I'm far more likely to engage with someone who disagrees with me but is polite than someone who agrees with me but is hostile and vulgar. It's somewhat fashionable to quote the Greater Internet.. well, let's say Crapwad Theory, but I don't think that it excuses anything. And, hey, most of the people in the Retake movement? They're good people. They're passionate, sure, and they're unhappy about a particular aspect of ME3, but they're civil and polite. Personally, I'd rather see more of that on the forums.
