If you are paying for my time to do that, I would be happy to. Failing that, however, you'll have to be happy with me deciding my own priorites and getting to the games when I can. Gotta warn you, though, I'm not cheap and I like pie. Lots of pie.

If someone starts a fundraiser to send Woo red, green and blue pie I'm blaming this thread.

"I didn't read your post because i have a default stance and won't entertain the notion of thinking in any other way."

Using a strawman like that will only serve to prove my point.  But let's continue:

I thought the same as you about the control/synth route - but that is just merely speculation(and a really cheesey one that supports a "happy ending" that isn't artsy apparently) and contrary to a popular saying that has sprung up from this whole ordeal speculation is not what everyone wants.

It's somewhat speculative, but based on things we can logically infer from what we've seen first hand in the games.  Any ending to anything will have some degree of speculation involved unless the medium spells everything out for us.  Mass Effect has never needed to spell everything out for us.

If this series is to continue, it will have to have some sort of canon version of the ending, you can't just hide if the Reapers died or not, or if everyone is half robot or not.  This whole idea of speculation DOES NOT WORK for this franchise, and this sh*tstorm proves it.

A ****storm in and of itself never proves anything.  Furthermore, you seem to be taking issue with the fact that there are varying conclusions to the trilogy, but we already knew to expect that going in.  I get what you're saying, but you're touching on a broader subject of sequels that I honestly haven't really formed an opinion on yet.

Well there you have it, definitive proof that all Retake detractors are vulgar and combatant.

On the same lines you could go through just about every retaker thread on this forum and find the same thing. So your point is moot.

Really? Go and find me one instance of a Retaker using that kind of language here.

I'll wait.

Nice try, but that's a cop out.

I asked you to find my an instance of someone using the kind of language seen in that tweet. You sent me a link to a long thread knowing nobody is going to go sifting through it looking for something that isn't there.

I'll take that as a concession that you lied and then tried to cover it up. Thanks!

I believe it's between page 30-35 if you want to get specific but since you don't like that one I shall find you another.

I don't see why you could not get such given the ME team stole one of your ogres from DA and put it in ME.

So 'just about every retaker thread on this forum' means 'one of the largest threads on the site that I still don't actually have even a page number for'?  Alrighty then.

I don't blame you Stanley, I have no ill will towards you personally perhaps since I'm civil with you might be able to answer a few questions for me. I promise nothing inflammatory or above your pay grade.

1) I understand there is a lot over analyzing on the fans part, I can agree its can get a bit out of hand but why do you feel that fans are speculating on Bioware statements to such a degree?

Because as much as people will threaten to leave the community, to never buy another BioWare product again, to never listen to thing we say again, there is a shred of hope that many in the community will hang onto. Now matter how demoralized people get, no mater how angry and frustrated they may feel, they really, really, really, really, really want to hear that their issues have been "fixed."

At the moment, however, the wounds are too large and too deep, so they scour all of BioWare's comments in an effort to find either those comments that keep their hope alive and/or those that they feel justify their furstration, hatred, or anger.

though it may seem contrary, this is a testament to how much our game has affected our fans and how much they care about our game and the franchise, and we can't (and don't) blame them for that.

Thank you. Your first paragraph grasps an important issue that I wish all sides could sit back, read, and ruminate upon. Not so much to have things "fixed", but that, well... that it wasn't all for nothing. (Which is kind of how I feel right now.) I can't speak for enyone but myself, but I am here for that shred of hope.

Thank you, good sir. I salute you.

Then you would agree it's a minority that are abusive, people that we are not responsible for?, I'm not rude here, but I cannot accept the coloured view and that thread is the very reason I cannot accept it.

At one point, there was a Krogan head mounted on the wall in Chateau Haine (the castle from Mark of the Assassin). I think it was eventually removed, but the asset still exists somewhere.

Now, if you want my opinion on DA related stuff... well, I can't say much there, either. Whoops.

You literally had me going for a second.......

I was about to ask you to comment on the comedy "mass effect is the same universe as dragon age" theory.

I'm telling you, Corpheus was the trapped spirit of a Reaper and that thing they reffered to under Val Royeux is a crashed long burried Reaper.

I feel legitimately bad that they didn't get enough for everyone in Edmonton's office by the way. If they only give them to the ME3 team then John here loses out .

I absolutely loved that idea though. It's on point, yet silly. Anger doesn't promote conversation half as well as silly does.

Dang. The one night I have a social night is when there seems to be a really great conversation with some BW staff. My luck.

Not really going to even try to grasp I'm sure the numerous lines of conversation going on here. Just wanted to thank Stan and John for being patient, as well as any lurker BW employees. Hopefully after the announcement of...whatever...in April we can all calm down some and relax.

No one paid me, why should I pay you? And if you aren't willing to "walk a mile" in our shoes by using your free time, like WE did when we bought each game, playing it on our free time, between work and obligations, If your not willing to that, then how can your reponses be expected to be genuine? And how can you even make a basis for ANY arguement?

being at bioware, I KNOW you can find a couple of copies of the games, AND the DLC, which you wouldn't have to pay for. Pick up some copies and play them over the course of the next couple weeks. Find time, I mean if you stand behind your product so much, then please, try them, I would find your analysis of them very interesting.

This one still does not understand the fan compulsion to mail the honorable Bioware small frosted confections. This one asserts that plankton and small fish eggs offer superior taste and dietary contribution.

Wasn't this originally about a congratulatory thread about our efforts and now it's devolved into a thread about how bad we are? Due in no small part to the timely intervention of BW's PR team.

Probably just a coincidence.

WOW, you people. I dont care. I'm not Bioware.

Some people here are more then straight up a-holes but absolutely crazed with internet anonymity.

Woo has probably banned me more times then any other mod here, but he is the man. Go try to have a conversation with the other companies developers and employees in their forums (if they have one), see if they respond. Send them threats in e-mails and see where that lands you.

I am not happy with current endings either. But EVERYTHING that they have said in this thread has been true. about the fans reaction being a credit to the series' love AND about the destructive negativity.

Think before you adress the devs. why would they want to talk to someone raging on them? Why do you deserve a nice answer?

I remember I wasn't happy with changes they made in civ 5, it came out, it was bad. I went to the forums... never ever heard from a dev. there was one moderator who never responded. And no improvements were ever made.  Get over yourselves

thread titled "We're powerful"?  give me a break. If we are powerful its because Bioware allows us the forum and outlets to do so. Is it now like some kind of contest? to see how much rage we can produce?

I appreciate you guys taking the time to respond but it seriously sounds like the negativity has gotten to you to some degree. I understand this...I've witnessed negative backlash firsthand and, sad to say, participated in it in the past. In this case though I think you have to recognize that there is a reason regardless of what you may think about it. If the ending wasn't the way it is or if some more concrete teaser sort of information (I realize that sounds like an oxymoron but you get my point) was provided about the future of ME3 I think you'd see a lot fewer posts dissecting the ending and a lot more "zOMG awesome ending to an awesome series thank you BioWare" type posts.

I realize there will always be people that find things to complain about. It's up to us to realize that there are good ways to vent and bad ways to vent and not everything constitutes the end of the world (unless your readiness rating is too low - zing!). It's up to you guys to realize that maybe, just maybe, we have something legitimate to argue here. I don't mean physical threats or torch and pitchfork messages should be tolerated...not at all actually. I do mean that responses that amount to "well who asked your opinion about the ending anyway" might want to be avoided. You all are better than that and, frankly, we deserve better than that. It isn't a question of entitlement...just the symbiotic nature of video game companies and their fans.

At any rate I know it can be a thankless job so just hang in there at thanks for at least trying to engage here and there.

Doesn't he already know? I doubt you'd get the predicted reaction.
If you go into the series with zero expectations that it'll turn out to be anything other than a quagmire of pointless and total death and darkness it probably won't have the same impact.

Honestly, by and large people are being quite civil. There are always exceptions, but it's certainly the minority in this thread.
