All of this aside, if Bioware solicited feedback and ended up with as many complaints on the ending as they did (as evidenced in the threads we can see)--

-- it's fair to say they're obligated to address that feedback. If they don't, then they're pretty much dug their own grave.

Let me clarify to you, because you obviously don't understand the meaning of those words.

Clarify:
-- [/b]to free of confusion <needs time to clarify his thoughts>
--
to make understandable <clarify a subject>

Explain:

Make (an idea, situation, or problem) clear to someone by describing it in more detail or revealing relevant facts or ideas.Account for (an action or event) by giving a reason as excuse or justification.

Neither of those things mean you CHANGE anything. You make it more clear or reveal in more detail what was done. They shouldn't have to clarify anything, just because a group of people didn't understand.

Just read through all of Woo's and Epler's comments and I'm absolutely shocked at their conduct in this thread.

As if the antagonism and condescension wasn't enough I love how they never fail to point out how awful and mean the Retake movement is.

Unbelievable...

Holy Cow, that sure is a lot of blue in one thread.

And for once, I consider that colour a good thing ;) Thanks @Stanley and John for being with us.

I have one question though, regarding the early discussion about "How Bioware didn't listen to their fans".

In fact, there are strong indicators that they did listen. There were dozens of pre-release interviews where Casey and Mac described the endings in a way that would make even the wet dreams of the most fervant lore-nerd pale in comparison.
Yet the ending we actually got was a full 180 in comparison.

What happened?

Woo panicked and brought in a friend. He had a brief time-out and things were much more amiable after.

You know what I see? I see someone who hasn't fully mentally matured and is whining on a message board for over 3 weeks pleading with a company to change an ending to a video game so she can move on with her life because the idea of the ending she had in her mind MUST be played out on screen for her to stop crying lol.

You can't laugh at anyone more than they have already laughed at you

Why so? Doing anything with the ending already means that some sort of fixing is taking place. Besides, we dont really know what they will do. You dont like people jumping to conclusions then dont do it by yourself first.

If you read some of Hudson's earlier statements, they said they stick by the writers and they aren't changing the endings, just clarifying/explaining them.

True. That's why I'm not betting on a satisfactory resolution of this issue for a lot of players. BW/EA will lose their support form a considerable chunk of their fanbase, but what damage that does - if any at all - remains to be seen. They must have already calculated their wins/losses and are acting accordingly.

We'll see. In any case, I'm done speculating and interpreting. I don't like speculation, for it serves no purpose. I find the current situation frustrating, unrewarding and not worth any more investment. It's their call, whatever we might think of it. We will, however, all have to base our conclusions on that.

Some might cheer if RTM "loses" in the end, pointing fingers and laugh, but BW/EA will also lose: the financial and enthusiastic support of a fair chunk of dedicated and emotionally invested fans.

Enjoy your art. I did not.

I find it odd that Casey and Mac are no-showing.... then again maybe they do intend to go, but for some bizarre reason will change their minds and throw all ideas out the window with 10 minutes remaining.

Dude what is your problem? if people have a problem with the ending who are you to tell them that they shoulden't. I go to school i work hard and i go about my life like the rest of the people here. But when i play videogames i take a break and immerse myself especially with mass effect the ending was absolute garbage and an insult i paid 70 bucks for it and thats pretty tough while going to school.

So is it bad that I want a better ending?

You should spend more time learning words.. congrats you found change.. now go reread Bioware's official statement and look for 'change'

At this point, I'd be content with a valid ending. What's in the game breaks the suspension of disbelief for too many people.

Thank you, Quietness. I'm saddened how those less gifted than myself (and I am so obviously gifted) tend to grasp at "fix" and fail to understand the nuances of the word.

Are you a proffesional troll or something? Becouse I would like to applaud you good Sir. You are really doing your job great. You are the only person on this entire board that fills my rage bar to 100% the moment I see a post signed with your nickname, without even reading the content. Really, you are really good at what you do, bravo.

And if you are not a proffesional troll, I would suggest a change of strategy if you want to win more support to your beliefs.

I agree Ful - I was thinking it would be epic. So many opportunities to make it so and had not a clue that it would turn out the way it did until I got to the end. I didnt read any posts online until I got there cause I didnt want to run across any spoilers to spoil it for me. Wish I had now...
