I've been seeing some of the Bioware moderators who post in here say that they feel like they are constantly being attacked and are discouraged from posting in these forums because their words are dissected and taken out of context. I'd just like to say I thought the endings were plot-hole ridden and nonsensical but I love this game company and I loved 99% of Mass Effect 3.

I thought maybe we could use this thread to show Bioware that while we may hate the ending to their game we appreciate the hard work they put into the rest of the game and encourage them to interact more with their fans.
Am I the only one who thinks this way?

As usual, the 1% ruins it for the rest of the 99%.

lolpoliticsjokes

But really, I agree. I don't understand how they could have done SO WELL with the first 99% of the game, then drop the ball so horribly.

And the worst part is, they did everything so right. If this was any other science fiction that didn't have likable characters or a deep protagonist, I wouldn't care. But the reason the fans care so much, is because Bioware made the characters amazing, and the world immersive.

In a way, the ending was horrible because the rest of the trilogy was amazing.

Of course I love Bioware. They created Baldur's Gate! And KotOR! And DA:O! And ME!

If that's not a sign of awesomness, I don't know what is.

I completely agree, it feels good to not be alone.

I hate EA though. They're ruining my favorite producers. They ate, chewed, and then spat out Westwood Studios. And now I'm afraid they'll do the same to Bioware.

I agree and Bioware has already announced that they are working on something to add more closure so lets give them a chance to make things right. Everybody makes mistakes.

No, I think they were off in more places than just the ending. And it's hard for me to praise all the things I like when there's a black hole of awfulness at the end that just sucks everything else into it.

Fix the ending, and then I'll tell you how much I loved the characters, the audio, the music, the art, and making people's heads explode.

Sign.

I complain because I love. If I didn't care about Mass Effect, I would just say "meh" and move on to something else.

But I love Mass Effect. Loooooooooooove it. <3

I'm going to say more like 90% of the game (there were some niggling problems) but it's still fantastic otherwise.

No one should forget, the rest of the game was pure amazing.
Sure there were some "cracks" (Tali's photo ect.) but the game was near perfect.

It was that last 15 min.. no I'll go so far as to say 5 last minutes that destroyed five years of gaming, not the game itself.

Well, there was that glitched Hanar quest and the not very helpful quest journal, so I think it's probably closer to 97-98% Bioware and game appreciation.

The ending did make me feel very disenfranchised though.

Yea there were some bugs which skip conversation, plus the non existant quest tracking which really annoyed me. The fact that Tali's face wasn't modeled in-game.

These are really minor though, if the ending is fixed correctly I think it's an awesome game.

I just wanted to add I was so happy with all the easter eggs that were fan references, too. Especially when Garrus said "this is my favorite spot on the citadel." There were so many though.

I don't post much here, but I agree wholeheartedly with this.
I loved the first two games, and almost all of the third game.
I thought they were awesome and full of win.

I did find the ending of ME3 quite dissapointing though, for reasons that many others have expounded upon.

Still, even with the dissapointing end, and the few other issues I had with the game (Really? a photoshopped stock image? Really? Come on guys, you can do better then that, I know you can.), I loved ME3, and I still reccomend the series to my friends, though I feel obligated to warn them about the end.

Such a shame, ME3 was soooo close to being, in my opinion, a perfect game.
So close....

Oh well, I just hope that whatever news is going to be announced in April will help calm the vitrol down a bit.
Not all of us are OK or agree with the attacks on Bioware or their staff.
Indeed, I would even say that few of us are OK with that.

Well said OP. I was basically going to make this thread.

The other tread make me think about the people behind the games. It cannot be pleasant to see when you have put so much work into something.

I just wanted to say, for what its worth that I did and still am getting a lot of enjoyment out of Mass Effect 3 and I really appreciate the time and effort that went into it.

I also want to generally say that, the sheer amount of enjoyment i've got from Bioware games in the last few years is insane. A genuine thank you to all the people that work on the games, we only spend so much time talking about your games because we love them, even if we do get very vocal about the bits we don't like.

We are probably not vocal enough about the bits we DO like.

For what it's worth a small sample of the things about mass effect 3 that left me with a massive smile on my face:

The development of Tali's character, she has grown as a character wonderfully over the 3 games, made me laugh when she got drunk, nearly cry on her homeworld. A very well crafted character, a classic, well done.

The cameo of Kasumi, very nice, and you totally had me for a second.

The scene with Garus and Tali, just really sweet and unexpected.

The sound design, whoever designed that reaper noise needs a medal of some sort, made me feel genuinely intimitated at times, and my tv is bloody rubbish, Thats no small feat.

Remember, we are fans, we do love your work,
