No one is going to engage in violence in person. It is well documented that people say things when they think they are anonymous, or safe from consequences that they would never do when in person.

So remove all the stuff about guards.

Then add a bunch of hype about how the "listened" to the fans and have released a new DLC that provides "answers and closure" (which also does nothing to change any of the endings).

Then I think you've got it about right.

A collective walk out would be the best thing that the paying customers could do to send Bioware the message that ignoring the input of your paying customers is a dangerous precedent for a business to set.

They'll probably ignore it for the most part. I think EA's plan with Bioware is to just bleed da/me for as much quick cash as they can. Then once all credibility is gone, fold Bioware's teams into EA as a whole. They make cash, Bioware is a somewhat scapegoat (we all already hate EA) and they move on.

It's sad, this is where the video game industry ended up. We can have good/great single games. We aren't allowed to have awesome long lived series.

I don't hope on PAX - its pointless. For me only one thing matters anymore - fix the ending. Anything else or lack of anything else has no bearing on my reasons for being here instead of playing. I haven't stopped playing because of Omaga nor stopped playing ME 3 because of needing more information about THEIR ending - I stopped playing ME 3 because their ending sucked the life out of the entire Mass Effect universe.

You're all assuming everyone there will be 'for' this.

Any people asking for endings are probably gonna get booed. There will undoubtedly be press there as well as 'Bioware never does wrong' fans.

There are enough people that have been guilted into changing their opinion on the endings because of the question of 'artistic integrity', and you will see that the majority-minority dynamics will have changed to 'contentious'.

I mean come on, you really think people are NOT gonna boo when someone comes up to a Q*A to tell the developers that their endings sucked?

Worst case scenario is they announce a new ending DLC.

I.e. they didn't learn anything and rushed a new ending despite the fact that rushing the old ending is what caused the problem.

Worst Case: The hole gets deeper, more fans fall out the bottem.

worst case:
The charon relay, still dormant around pluto, cause we haven't found it yet, starts itself and goes nova in some shamed suicide and we all get vaporized.

best case:
Indoctrination DLC, Free to retail owners, over an hour long of extra story and a real conclusion that matters, It was planned all along so its already done, releasing next week. Sorry we tricked you. Then they go into Oprah mode and shout to the crowd as they go ape**** wild "you get new endings, and YOU get new endings.. and you over there.. NEW ENDINGS!

Worst case scenario.

Long speech on artistic integrity. Future DLC and a half ass teaser to a text epilogue. That will be it at worst.

It's pretty much at the level that someone is going to get tasered.

Convention goers aren't like nice polite forum goers. You don't have to wait in line for hours to vent on the Bioware forums, at least.

You forgot to mention the part where after you are tasered for asking the wrong question the security guards will take you into a basement room where Casey Hudson will personally threaten you with a hammer and hold you until you admit that the endings were great and that you secretly work for Activision.

Or the part where they will require you to write your full name and address on the question sheets so that Bioware's goons can set your house on fire while you sleep.

This is all goofy and paranoid. It's a flipping video game company. They've angered their core fans. They aren't going to continue to provoke them. They are going to lead off with the elephant in the room, and most likely the reasonable, non paranoid, non melodramatic among you will be heard. In fact if they have a decent trailer ready for their closure dlc they will lead off with that most assuredly. Just to put the wind out of the sails out of angry goofballs that are afraid that guards will subdue them for asking about the endings.

thank you for attempting to be rational.  God knows this room needs it.

just to stir the pot a bit though (hehehehe - it's Thursday morning on a very long third shift) -
"Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you."

Worst case scenario?--------

The world ends 2012 style tomorrow and there is no PAX.

More likely worst case scenario-----

Casey Hudson calls in a bomb threat at PAX and it gets cancelled.

Realistically, the worst case scenario is that they don't even acknowledge the ending and try to sell their multiplayer DLC.

Step 1: pat themselves on the back
Step 2: have the media pat them on the back
Step 3: pat themselves on the back, again
Step 4: have the media pat them some more
Step 5: rinse, and repeat
Step 6: subtly imply that vocal minority didn't "get it", so will provide clarification DLC for a price
Step 7: Stress vocal "minority" and imply again that some didn't "get it"
Step 8: Pat themselves on the back one last time before announcing MP DLC and bonus characters for SP campaign

They announce some condescending "clarification" DLC that explains to us just why we're too stupid to understand the endings. Which we have to pay for.
Then they go on about their multiplayer DLC then announce Dragon Age III as a rail shooter with a set male character.

If nothing is done about the ending I'm never going to buy a single DLC or Game from Bioware again plain and simple. It's terrible to see how something I loved got ruined in the final 5 minutes when the first 29 hours and 55 minutes were so good.

Worst case scenario they give us the same line Dr. Muzyaka gave us or don't show up until E3 and push a multiplayer map pack on us instead.

Worse case? Well, they could kill mass effect, alienate there core fans, ignore all the feedback and get a pat on the back with a "job well done" from IGN.
