A lot of people have said this, but I think you're the first to put it in the title.

In any case, I fully agree with the sentiment.

I agree. I have bought nearly every game and DLC as well since BG1, but between this and DA2 my opinion has soured greatly. If they don't do something to correct the ending, then I am afraid that ME3 will be the last BioWare game I buy.

I'm here because I love Bioware, their games and Mass Effect and want to see them give ME the ending it deserves and for it to go down as the epic science fiction masterpiece that it almost is and could be.

Never watched blade runner, shutter island, or inception have you? Trust me, more epicness is comming. Hang in there

I believe Bioware the creators of Mass Effect and Shepard have any right to end their story how they see fit. I believe the fans need to appreciate Bioware for over 5 years of bringing you joy with their games and for allowing your choices through those 5 years go through three titles that no one else has done before.

I believe Bioware deserved cupcakes with no intentions behind them but an apology for the bad press and hate

I've watched all three. Blade Runner is my all time favorite film, especially the Final Cut. I really enjoy Inception as well. If you're hinting at Indoctrination Theory, I don't buy it at all. But they could easily retcon into it. I'm interested to see where it all leads.

Bioware has been my favorite game developer since the fateful day all those years ago that I picked up a copy of Baldur's Gate 1. I've purchased and played every game, every expansion and every DLC that they have made since.

Mass Effect has not just been my favorite video game series. It has been my favorite entertainment experience. It has been like an amalgum of a wonderful series of novels, movies, albums and video games. It's been a truly epic interactive story that Bioware has shared with me and given me the means to shape along with them.

I love most of what they've done and I want them to know that. As it stands, the ending of Mass Effect 3 is not worthy of the story that proceeds it. I'm here not to make demands, but to engage in constructive criticism and support them in giving the Mass Effect saga the ending that it deserves.

Who else is with me?

Why would you support that ending? That ending is unsupportable. Gaming companies rise, evolve, advance. And at the apex of their glory, they are extinguished. It simply was BioWare's gaffe that started the downhill roll. They do not deserve redemption. They have no Shepard to initiate a red, green, or blue fireworks for their demise.

You're insane, the intentions are clear: the cycle of gaming company extinction is here; disappear so that you can make room for another "civilization" to evolve and make other great games. KTHXBYE.

Who are you to determine what is the ending it deserves? If I were to say, "Your post is not deserving of the points you are trying to make, go re-write it to my satisfaction", are you gonna do that?

You don't like the ending. Splendid. Let's have a little honesty here and say, "Bioware, I demand you change it or I'll kick, scream, threaten and make a lot of noise" instead of all this roundabout deserve-logic.

I think it was a nice way to ask for what we want, point out why, and remind the folks at Bioware that we actually do love the game and their games in general. Just like the OP said. Bioware have the right to end their story however they want to - ABSOLUTELY TRUE! We also have the right to ask them to read/listen to our critiques of the ending and ask them to revise their work. They have the right to refuse and we have the right to return a product we're not happy with. But - the truth is - I think Bioware WANTS to listen to our critiques and try to find a middle ground between them and their vision and I don't think any of us WANT to return our games. So, if everyone could stop raging for a little while and just engage in a polite cup-cake style dialogue, we'd actually probably find an nice middle-ground where everyone can get a little bit of what they want ^_^

I agree, bioware is more than capable of delivering an ending that has narrative cohesion, satisfying resolutions, closure and still be bittersweet if that's what they desire. We all know from multiple games including most of this one that this is within their level or writing, game design and skill.

Give us these things, please Bioware not because we deserve them but because your loyal fan base both begs and needs this in order to maintain if faith in you as a weaver of stories and a developer of games.

Give me these things so I can repay my favorite games again, and I will gladly pay for an alternate ending DLC

BW is an Alberta company and I can't help but hope for the very best for those lads. I want them to be the most successful gaming company in the world - they perhaps put Alberta on the map for a different segment of people around the world. I like to think its our oil as well - I only hope that BW sizes on the opportunity that's there for them right now. This IS their moment - their very first real difficulty - and it is here where they can choose to seize the moment, or throw it all away.
