I like to think they're all just disoriented from the radiation poisoning, and will snap out of it and start kicking Joker in the ribs. Repeatedly.

I'd prefer mom, dad just sounds a bit.. weird to me. I'm actually a little curious as to why the Asari don't have a better word for it considering they would've been breeding for thousands of years without males.

Yep. In Asari culture the non birthing parent is called the father, no matter what gender they are.

If femShep asked though I'm sure everyone would be happy to also call her the mother. I mean who would dare refuse a request like that after all she's done for the universe?
