I love how big the defender armor is, but it irks me that i can't change the helmet or the colors. Whats the bulkiest combination of N7 pieces i could get?

N7 Defender is a bonus set armor that you get through CE I believe.

It looks like the one Vega is wearing.

The chest piece that gives an Ammo-Capacity bonus is quite bulky, if I remember.
The shoulder pieces that give a 10% damage bonus are also quite large.

No, it's the one you get for pre-ordering at specific places. Which bums me out, as I ordered before lists of pre-order bonuses for my country were published, so all I got was an Argus while a friend of mine got the Argus, the Valkyrie AND the Defender.

On-topic: I think it'll be the Hanhe-Kedar set. Bulkiest helmet is the Death Mask, I believe.

umm.. you can only get CE through Pre-Order so I think it goes without saying. I got mine from my CE.

On-topic: The Defender looks especially bulky if you put it on FemShep, she looks as big as Kaiden in his armor :wizard:

You're best going with Ariake, the melee damage armor. By far the bulkiest of all the custom sets, the shoulders are fairly small but in keeping with the rest of the set so you might want to swap those out if they aren't to your taste.

Also if you feel like doing some coalesced editing, the helmet can be removed or changed on full body armors.

You could do some comparing of the armors, outside of the game, here: masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/Armor#Mass_Effect_3

Personally, I really like the Hahne-Khedar armor. It looks like actual ARMOR.

Personally I thought it was more Star Wars armour - it most reminded me of Boba Fett's mandalorian armour, with shiny rigid plates over a jumpsuit. Great if you like that type of thing, but I'm too used to ME's LED/Hardsuit vibe.

As for the bulkiest armour.... I would say Rosenkov. To be honest, I'm glad they made that armour the cooldown reducing armour, as it meant I didn't have to choose between my fave look and fave effect.

My personal choice was Rosenkov chestplate and gauntlets, Kuwashii Visor, Serrice shoulder pads and Kassa greaves. Looks really futuristic and bulky without looking like a battlemech a la N7 Defender armour. Plus the combination of stats is actually useful :P

I like the Hahne-Kedar armor personally. I rock that with the Mnemoic Visor. It looks light weight and fits what I think a combat biotic would look like. I don't care if it gives a weapon damage bonus.

As for bulky? I'd imagine Rosenkov is the bulkiest.

The Defender armor has nothing to do with the CE. It was a retailer-exclusive pre-order bonus. For America and iirc Canada it was for GameStop. For Europe I believe it was GAME.

Yeah, hahne-kedar with the death mask looks the most "walking tank" like in my opinion.

...which is all kinds of F'ed up considering it's at least in my opinion the best armor for an infiltrator.

A couple of the non-mod suits that you can buy are fairly bulky, though in some ways better than going piecemeal. They can be found in the Presidium Commons or Refugee camps. If you're wanting that deadly tank look, you definatly have to go piecemeal. If you want wicked looking and heavy, the Reckoner armor's definatly in tthere.

Personally I go for functionality over looks

Blood Dragon Armor for me. Male and Female Shepards. Before I gather the funds to buy that I go with the Reckoner Knight Armor.

I hope the defender armor will be released for free down the line but we all know that's not going to happen. Gamestop ran out of preorders for the CE so I had to settle for Best Buy.
