A couple of the non-mod suits that you can buy are fairly bulky, though in some ways better than going piecemeal. They can be found in the Presidium Commons or Refugee camps. If you're wanting that deadly tank look, you definatly have to go piecemeal. If you want wicked looking and heavy, the Reckoner armor's definatly in tthere.

Personally I go for functionality over looks

this game is so easy you could run around as a soldier in all biotic armor and be fine.. At that point, armor is all about virtual dress up :D

Aramax armor. Looks like armor, has lights all over and the big round lighted jack on the back.

No cloth and it looks a bit cooler than N7, IMO. I modded mine to have the specs of the serrice council armors instead for my Adept.

In my opinion, the heaviest looking custom set is:
Death Mask
Armax Arsenal chest
Hahne-Kedar shoulders (Rosenkov are big too)
Ariake Tech. arms (debatable)
Ariake Tech legs.

On the subject of the Armax chest, I think they mixed up the Hahne-Kedar and Armax chest models.
The Hahne says it feeds power to weapons but looks like the chest has handles on it, and Armax says it has compartments for clips, but has a friggen huge armoured reactor on the back. Go figure.

That said, the Ariake chest is big too, but the shoulders are basically not there.

It's a shame that the N7 Defender isn't customizable.
