Also there is going to be a time the MP will be dead, this is not a comment about its quality, but unless you are like Blizzard with StarCraft, you MP will die out at one point. Which theoretically will be before people stop playing the SP game completely. Does that mean when someone 3 years from now wants to finish the game and do an old nostalgia run... he can't get one of the variants in the ending anymore?
But most importantly, even FPS don't do this sort of nonesense. I did not need to go through 20 team death matches to get the full ending of Halo 3. Heck even the easter egg ending that is assumed to happen even if you don't see it, is a reward for finishing on Legendary (and I think getting all the data fragements). As I said, that easter egg is not a different ending, just a teaser of something that happens anyways (even if not seen).
But again, be it Halo, GoW, CoD, your MP experiecne has no baring what-so-ever on your SP experience. No idea why it does in ME3 (even if it is a minor thing, it does have an impact). The only incentive to play MP should be that you like to play MP and the only reward for MP should be MP rewards.
It's even more questionable that it is only one way. Not like SP give any bonus to MP, and I am pretty sure if it did MP fans would be pissed. So it is obvious what the intent was... and honestly... it is no. Just No.
