Silly requirement to have, and as the quoted Bioware post above shows, pretty misleading too.

Yeah thanks. I know it is easy to forget but some people just can't get highspeed,why should we be punished? We paid the same amount of money as everyone else.

How true there is. I was hoping since we are on the same side we could be civil guess that was too much to hope for. People like you actively hurt the cause with your spam. So reported you are since that's what you want.

I don't like online MP at all, and it should definitely not affect SP.

You can still get the "best" ending without multiplayer, you just have to work harder. if you love SP so much why is that a problem?
No, you cannot. There are not enough assets in the game to get the breath at the end with only SP. Been proven time and time again.

I heard you can change vallues in some of the game files adding EMS to certain war assets or changing the default level to 100%
of course that only works for PC.
Sadly if you try and mod your game there's a good chance origin detects your changes (even if they're single player only) and bans you from ever playing the game again, even singleplayer.
If I knew how then I'd already have put my galactic readiness at 100% manually since I got up to that point before (by playing multiplayer) but it goes down again by a few % each day - The one who thought that was a good idea really needs to get fired.
And to answer the OP: I agree, fix it already so we don't need multiplayer to get the 'best' ending. I don't care right now since all the endings are the same and equally horrid but later if they decide add proper endings I'd like to get a good ending without playing multiplayer like they promised.

R,B,G and a 3 second gasp of air
New Ending? not gonna happen. Just rebuilt with deleted scenes for clearity & closure.
Then? .......dlc to reap the $$$$$. When all $$$$$ has been harvested. Plug pulled on the franchise head back to darkspace and return in the next 50 thousand years to reap again.

This is true, but be careful what you say because the thread stating this and asking bw to remove the incorrect jarrett sticky got locked down for dareing to say so.

Because my character is my set of decisions, if I alter them to get some 400 more war assets, that's not my character anymore.

this a million times!
even if it turns out there is some way to scrounge up enough EMS they killed off replay value entirely

Forcing multiplayer on people hurts more than it brings in the revenues:
1. Those people who don't want MP - typically us RPG weenies who buy these games to begin with - will be miffed and perhaps further discouraged from playing them in other settings;
2. Those people who do want MP - and would probably play other MP titles - have to suffer my floundering and total lack of interest in MP…discouraging THEM;
3. Eventually, the MP won't be there anymore, causing problems for everybody.
It's just an all-round terrible ‘solution’ to the problem ‘how can we get more money’.
Edit: to be clear, I have absolutely nothing against adding MP so long as it's completely optional. (OK, I do a little if it takes away resources from the SP but let's assume that's not a problem.) It can even make getting the best result easier. It just needs to be feasible in SP, too.

What's especially annoying is that they say you can get the best ending without the MP. I don't doubt that if you followed a step by step guide starting with ME1 you *could* get the required amount, but surely that can't be the point of playing a RPG.

I think they should just lock the GR at 100%. I play the MP for fun, not to boost some number for the SP (which I've taken a break from).

What?! That is insane I only got the game because I believed them when they said I wouldn't need multiplayer and now I am stuck with the game. We need so new laws in this country to protect people from software makers that out and out lie. This is just insane. Bioware should be fined at the very least for making these faulse claims to boost sales.

Rather than have to go through a multiplayer grindfest I just made the war assests equal to their true value. Thank you save editor.
