Commander Shepard, you have three choices:
1. CONTROL - Keep the ending as is and control the PR fall-out.
2. SYNTHESIS - Merge the current ending with additional content for clarity and closure.
3. DESTROY - Destroy the current ending completely and start over.

Please DO explain your reasons/proposals in response to this post.  Who is the majority?  Keep this thread alive.  BioWare is listening, apparently.

After voting and posting your comment, I recommend that you watch this critique of ME3 ending:
. It's 40 minutes long but it's worth watching.

The whole premise of the endings is stupid. But. I honestly fear it's too late to take the stain of these endings away, at least for us who already saw them and discussed them for almost a month now. I think my ME experience is ruined without possibility of redemption. So just this once close the plot holes, and maybe give my Shepard the possibility of telling the kid to **** off. I don't care if it results in this cycle losing in physical warfare, at least we die with our heads high and we've given the next cycle a better chance (obviously the protheans gave us a better one and we came even clsoer than them, so the nex tguys will have a huge advantage if they're not complete morons). Maybe show us someone finding Liara's box 20'000 years later. This way you don't change the premise and strange people who like these endings get to keep their submissive Shepard.
But never **** up like this again, let it be a lesson that gamers are not stupid and we won't take sub-standard, pretentious, hollow, pseudo-intellectual work like this.

2.

If that's really the artistic direction bioware want to take, then so be it.

But ****... I need more coherence and I need to know what happened there... The cutscenes are so disjointed... it's pretty bad actually

Clarify? The ending is pretty clear, it just doesn't make any sense regardless.

The very minimum the ending needs is real Closure. Answer the question "Did it matter?"

Did it matter I saved the Krogan?

Did it matter the Quarian went extinct?

Did it matter I preserved the Council?

Did it Matter the Rachni blew their last chance?

Right now the answer is "no, none of that mattered", which if that's exactly what Bioware intended from Day1 on Mass Effect development... wow. Somehow I doubt that though.

Okay for all you guys voting to change it, how?

Fallout broken steel was a clarification and an expansion, it changed nothing of the original games ending. To say that this changed fallout 3's ending is like saying that awakening was bioware "changing" dragon age origins ending, it did not happen, it expanded it, but ti didn't go in and change the way the endings occurred.

So, what your asking is for bioware to do something thats never been done before, that no one can say for certain can actually be done, and you expect them to do so instead of clarifying or expanding the endings....how?

And before you say that it's biowares job to change it and not yours, not really, not when your accusing them of being able to do this. The burden of guilt lies on those who accuse, not those who are accused, so if you can't show a way to change the endings through DLC, and you have no evidence that it can be done, than what are you even accusing them of not doing? Are you saying they should create an entirely new way to code and integrate code just to satisfy your demands, really?

modify current content (plot holes must be patched and the star-child must be expressed as a Reaper or a the first Reaper or control function of the reaper leading them, and as such it should be both their weak spot or what can call the reapers away given new information) and add new (endings)

After 3 games, they still didn't have little blue children..... I think one of their baby makers isn't working to begin with so, no loss

Would much rather have 3 but 2 can be pulled off. 3 would allow the endings to reflect how our choices changed the Mass Effect universe but would make it harder to make more games in the future. 2 would expand and help us understand what direction Bioware wants to take the series. I don't like the destruction of the mass relays and crash of Normandy but if they handle the situation well we may have more commander shepard and crew in future.

Change it. Because starchild is uncool, he also made the reapers uncool, then he made shephard uncool and the endcinematic made joker uncool.

Pretty uncool Bioware.

Can't really pick between SYNTHESIS and DESTROY, as my version of SYNTHESIS would continue in a radically different direction, enough to DESTROY it...

Broken Steel. That's my input. If there is even the slightest possibility that Shepard can survive based on your choices, I will accept it. And by "survive" I mean physically get up and continue.

I wouldn't call that a "happy" ending either, considering billions just died.

While clarification and closure would be most welcome, a change is necessary for fixing this mess, though i wont expect this to happen. Bioware brought themselves in a loss-loss situation, and now they have to reap what they sowed.

Destroy the entire trilogy and start from scratch. The star-child brat made the events of ME1 entirely irrelevant.

All Sovy had to do was just phone the brat and inform him his garage door opener wasn't working.

This, in a nutshell.

However, the "Broken Steel" type expansions would need to have two things:

1) Something that gets rid of the Starchild, or at least of the things he said. (Because those things were so full of plotholes and made no sense in made my head hurt).

2) Get rid of the "all Mass Relays are being destroyed" cinematics. (A giant plot hole on its own.)

Destroy. I'm sure that most fans would agree. It isn't just the options of the ending that suck, it's the entire premise.

I voted "change", but that's a bad poll, cause change is punishing those who likes current ending.
That poll is lacking the "more ending choices" option.
