Is this question specifically for female gamers? I mean, suppose if it were not, you would include the quarian into the equation. But I guess you wanted to adress the discomfort general public would show if they saw an alien/human s/s couple.

Anyway, to answer your question. Yes, I would. It wouldn't be the first time I would face discrimination, but I really don't care what some stranger thinks about me.
Now to elaborate on the subject. I agree with True Zarken on the topic of Asari philosophical approach to relationships, and I find it one of the most interesting subjects to explore. Example - if you have a Liara-Kaidan/Ashley clash in ME, Liara would be the one to stay by your side, and it that case, she was the more mature one. Not to mention the idea of cherishing each moment with your loved ones, instead of worrying they might die of old age in 30 years. Just imagine how much maturity, insight into relationships and wisdom you could achieve in a span of 1000 years.
I'd like to learn more about their culture and I really hope Bioware will expand on the subject in the future.
Also, there's simply no better way to understand a mind meld than to experience it :)

We share the same mind, my dear friend!

Usually in my real life I don't care what others think of my life, it's mine to live and those who don't like my attitude or character, well, they can go other way, I wouldn't hate them for that (frankly, I'm not capable to hate anyway). That's the way I see the world around me. Just being a female in this world gave me sometimes enough troubles (I don't like that, but I manage to live a decent life and kick those trouble(makers) in their teeth easy and hard because I have my right to live just like they do). I don't care about other people traditions, I make my own, but I respect others. And learning new things and put them to life, that's a thing that makes a great part of my life.

Yes, I would date an Asari, open and public, free of any fears and delusions.
I think most people would not agree with me, but as I said, it's their problem, not mine.
Love is love, no matter the gender. Love is an emotion, the most powerfull one in this universe. I kinda feel sorry for those people who waste their precious time in hate, with closed mind and never see & feel the brilliance of that pure (love) emotion itself.
You have 2 adults capable to love, then, why not?
Hell yeah, Asari are soooo interesting...... <3:kissing::D

I knew that most men would answer yes right away because it is nearly identical to romancing a human female and it wouldn't cause much problems for them. So yeah, I wanted to gain the insight of female gamers or male gamers who supports the femshep/Liara pairing. I agree with both your sentiments!! I love Asaris and wouldn't mind dating one. I don't romance Liara with Femshep and only with Manshep. I don't have any hate, it's just how my canon works but i do believe in free love for anyone!

I'm a Liara fan so please check my article about her and alternate flashback video edit if you're interested.

If it was Liara maybe. Otherwise unlikely unless she was compatible with me as a person.

Can't believe I wasted my time with a serious reply.

I've faced discrimination before in my dating life. It's amazing how many people think that different skin colors, different religions, different anythings is anyone's business but the people's involved.

I'd be perfectly happy to date an Asari or a female Quarian or possibly even Turian. I'm going to have to draw the line at Krogan, Volus, Elcor and Hanar.

Well, the asari do give birth in the usual fashion, apparently; it's not like they lay eggs or something. Whether there's a good size fit or not isn't clear.

Sure why not. I mean think about going around holding a small blue baby and saying that it's yours. And plus I wouldn't mind if there is someone out there who would date me.

I did date one!

But she ran off with my ginger pilot to a tropical paradise to "repopulate" and left me to die.

So I will be wary in future.

Definitely, as long as the personality was attractive (ie: Aria T'Loak: hell no).

I mean, c'mon, telepathic union during joining! I guess some wouldn't go for that, but it'd be a strong appeal for me personally.

Asari lifespan is a strong positive, because not only would your progeny vastly outlive you, but you probably would have centuries to be with your Asari partner! (because, let's face it, humans are only a few decades away from an indefinite lifespan, contrary to ME lore).

Asari personality somewhat fits my own in that I tend to look at things in the "long view", just like they would.. so another positive there.

Plus, I find other cultures and ways of looking at things interesting, and the Asari certainly fit into that..

Allow me to rephrase. -Most- asari look alike in the traditional sense of some humans being dead ringers for one another. Some physical attributes (height, weight, bust, hips, etc etc) may vary, but I get the feeling most of them might get offended if you tried to ID them by their ******.

"I'm sorry Dr. Tsoni. I was just looking for your uh... Nametag. Yeah, your nametag, that's it."

They don't look alike to me. I see a lot of variation, especially once you factor in bodypaint and other sorts of artistic expression. Plus, I expect when you live among them for awhile, you become attuned to subtle differences.
