Sort of. I get what you mean, but since Asari reproduction does incorporate genes from the father, something core about what makes you who you are, does transfer over. Sure, your kids will be Asari and won't look human... but they'll be part human, just the same.
They don't incorporate any genes from the father species.
I just rewatched Liara's explanation in ME1, and, it's unclear. In a union, the Asari "explores the genetic memory" and "incorporates traits" from the father. One could make the argument that that's a good part of what genes do, and if so, then yes, Asari incorporate genes from the father.
Literally, though, if you mean the actual genes, the actual chromosomes, then I'm sure you're right.. but maybe the process is akin to not transferring the genes so much (the hardware) as what the genes actually do (the software), at least for the subset of genes that are of interest (ie: a gene having to do with, say, stomach peristalsis wouldn't be)
Or to look at it from another angle, what do you want to transfer to your offspring? If you're satisfied with it just being a personality that's a mix of you and your partner, then Asari reproduction would seem to do the job. If you want a mix of physical traits as well, if you want it to be a rough averaging of your and your partner's physical traits as well, then Asari reproduction just isn't going to cut it.
