There are not many attractive Asari in Mass Effect, to be frank. Liara is pretty much the only one, but she's sorta taken.

That Rachni queen though....mreowr.

Yes, but I would never want children with one. Imagine getting old and wrinkly while your girlfriend/wife never seems to age and you die before your daughter ever hits maturity. And even if you live that long you'll be a walking corpse, the horror.

In the ME universe, humans live not much longer than we do now, in the present day... so, given that, you would indeed get old and all that goes with it, while your bondmate and progeny do not. That would not stop me from such a union, since after all, both go into it with eyes open.

In the real universe, where Asari don't exist, humans will have indefinitely long lifespans, so if somehow something like Asari are out there, a millenia together in great health and relative youth is no problem at all :)

Hmmm... tempting, but I would rather learn from them than try to bag one, haha.

The main thing that would keep me from doing it would be the reaction from my family and friends. If that wasn't an issue, then I'd probably give it a shot.

Yeah, I guess that would be one of the main constraints why people won't. :?

The best response to their reaction is simply "Doesn't matter had sex."

Dating an Asari is more or less defecting genetically from mankind as a species. Provided you plan to procreate of course. Otherwise, it's just weird. The age difference, the Cthulhubob (or w.e the hell you call their hairstyle), the fact that they're at least *capable* of being attracted to a Krogan, oh and the nonzero chance that if you hook up with one she'll burn out your nervous system and leave you an empty shell. All of these things make dating an Asari a bad idea.

But what you do with your genitals on your own time in your own fantasies is your business.

I think they'd be fun for a fling, sure. Sexual and scientific curiosity, if we're talking within the window of first contact. Swapping information and, uh.. fluids. They probably do some fun stuff with those biotics.

You can have a lot of sex in a thousand years, though. That thing has got to be ruined by the time I get my opportunity.

That might not fly if you procreate and the kid gets hazed for being "different". Not only by the other kids, but by everyone in the community. Thats one hell of a cheque to write out in the name of love for a kid to have to cash.

My parents raised me with the phrase "whoever makes you happy" so i guess I just don't have the hang ups others would. And my friends? Well, they might voice their concern, but they won't abandon me. We have an understanding. If they do abandon me; were they really my friends in the first place?

Okay. Now I wish this wasn't speculation just so I could use that line.

Depends how well we got on. The fact that they were asari wouldn't matter to me at all.

Easy solution: Live with the asari. The only ones getting shunned there are the purebloods.

-Not that easy if you do not feel like giving up your entire life, species and everything you were and had.

Not easy for the kid not knowing the "other side" either.

Kids should be smothered in love. I know some protest but I really dont give a ****e. The world is a horrible place and most kids will realize that soon enough. Childhood is for dreams and fairytales. For fantasies come true. For love and cuddles. Its the only time in our lives where we can afford to live like that.

doesn't shepard stat that humans are lucky to see 150 plus, thats like almost double the average life span now.. that's quite a bit, plus genetic engineering. On that note, so miranda will live to be what 225?
