The Last Man Standing - this guy proceeds to majestically solo the wave after all of his teammates have gone down an early grave. Calm, strategic, able as he pops the villains one by one. Sure to bring a smile on your face.

I had the opportunity to be this on the last minutes of a latter reaper wave a few days ago. I was literally trembling under the pressure...:o

The pansy:
This person will have a deep fear for the bigger mobs, particulary banshees and brutes. When it has gained the attention of one of them, this person will go through whatever means necessary to 'GET THE HELL AWAY' from the big bad; especially if it's the former.
Unfortunately, as perceptive as these individuals may be towards banshees and brutes, their view doens't quite match up when it comes to Ravagers and Marauders, and so, following their panic attacks, these people will constantly run out in the open where they are thoroughtly shot to pieces by the lesser Reaper mobs.

On the bright side, due to their cowardly nature, they tend to stick close to the rest of their team. Most of the time...

The Badass:
When this person sense weakness among the enemy, he will make no hesitation to charge the enemy's lines with his own guns and weapons. Can also be catagorized as an overly confident kill-stealer, these people tend to attack seemingly weak enemy formations, only to find that there was a whole group of Pyros hiding behind the corner.

They also seem to perceive turrets as harmless, purposely ignoring them past their aura of awesomeness.
Unfortunately that said aura cannot block the hail of slugs which is soon to come from the offended turret.

Man of Few Words- Joins a lobby with a mic, but even though other people are talking, he has nothing to say. Usually heard coughing, adjusting his mic, mumbling about Phantoms, and telling his dog to be quiet.

Yeah, I found me.

The Homesick guy / Scared Adventurer:

Never gonna give LZ up, never gonna let LZ down
Never gonna run around and desert LZ
Never gonna make LZ cry, never gonna say goodbye
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt LZ

Gets raped by reapers, every single time.

The angry ignorant:

Will only use microphone to yell at you to get to the LZ, ignoring it doesn't matter, ignoring the fact that you don't care, or that things didn't go as expected. Going to LZ is all that matters, and you should yell at people if they don't do it right. 1500 XP Bonus is huge deal.

The Mantisf*g:

Thinks Mantis blows everything out of the water, plays the game like the Homesick guy / Scared Adventurer, always offers the poorest contribution to the game, hardly revives people.

If the Team doesn't wipe on Wave 11, then yes I get angry if someone doesn't make it to the LZ, because then it's an absolute waste of my time.  Sure there are situations that make it impossible but ther are so many people that just stay outside.

As a drell Adept yes Running is for ****** cartwheel FTW. No really if i need to get out of a tight spot i will cartwheel like crazy just seems that the enemies are really bad shooters when doind Cartwheels.

 Where's the:
kill steeling moron: This guy will shoot the targets you already almost have dead with his sniper instead of shooting the enemies at his or your flank getting you both downed and most likely killed because they can't prioritize targets properly.

I seem to get those players 24/7 :?

Ran into one of these the other day:

Weapons Only Person: Addicted to the sound of gunfire, this player is unable to use any of their hotkeyed powers or melee attack. They will only fire their weapon. If they're playing a Quarian Infiltrator, they will netiher cloak nor sabotage any geth. If they're playing a Sentinel, they think that turning on Tech Armour is good enough for the whole match. If they're an Engineer, they think their Combat Drone has infinite duration and shields so they only need to cast it once.

I think they are attracted to the sound of guns going off. I'm holding my flank. A couple of easy mobs comes up for me to kill with a couple of combos and gunfire. As soon as I fire my gun against the mobs, they start to rush towards my flank as if I was knee-deep in banshees and brutes. Just so they can 'help' out by having all 4 players looking in exactly the same direction totally missing the party happening behind us.
So many times, so many times... Especially on Dagger.

Naw man, too many categories. You only need 3.
The good, the bad, the Major Major Major Major Mediocre.

You could subdivide the categories, but suffice to say the first are the ones you want, the last will be the ones you play with all the time, the middle are the ones you remember.

The Hacked Geth Sniper:
The orange glow is a siren call to his Widow. As soon as a Geth betrays it's own by being hacked and firing rockets at other Geth, this hero ensures it dies with honor by headshotting it before it can do too much damage to it's Geth brethren.

The Lure:
This is on 4 device deactivation waves only. You're deactivating one of the 4 devices when you notice him backing up towards you from across the room/map as he ineffectually fires his AR into 2 Banshees and a Brute who follow him as he backs up...backs up...backs up... right to you while you're crouched deactivating. As soon as he (and the Banshees/Brutes) are upon you, he runs for it, leaving the Banshees and Brutes standing over your crouching and helpless self.

The Deactivating Friend:
Also only on the 4 device deactivation waves, he realizes it's more effective to ignore the Mauraders firing on the guy deactivating the device and instead join in on the crouched deactivating. Because everything is more fun with a friend!

The Turret Melee-er:
Usually a Krogan who knows that the best way to destroy a turret is by MELEE! RRRRRRAAAAAAA RRRRRRRRAAAAAA   (dead).

Haha I always scratch my head when I see adepts running with an AR and SMG/Pistol or with a Sniper. The switch to Drell Adept is often uterly pointless because  the Human/Asari Adept has a 4sec+ Warp CD and forgets that it is a Power using class.....   Honestly when nearly all enemies on the screen glow blue from Reave I'd expect a warp or throw.......

"The 'I hate PUBLIC' public guy"

The guy that has a mic just to complain about being in a public random group, being forced to play with all these noobs. Even though he scores 3rd in the team, he keeps blaming all of you noobs for anything that goes wrong. By the time you wipe on the 5th wave, he'll be calling out to each team member personally why they suck, even though he got killed in the first 20 seconds. He'll be sure to remind you this 'never happens to him when he's playing with friends'.

This thread is amazing. Thank you for starting it. Here is my contribution.

The Badass High N7 Low Level Character Guy: This is the guy with an N7 rank of 300+ who joins the game as a level 2 character. You don't kick him...because damn his N7 level is high. You are skeptical of his abilities at first, but when the score boards come in at then end and you discover not only has his level two character out scored you...but is higher than the rest of the team put together....

now the opposite

The terrible High N7 Low Level Character Guy: You have recently played with the badass high N7 low level player...this guy hops on...you figure you are in for another easy ride to exp and credits. Except not. He's horrible. you can only conclude he just plays endlessly.

The Mean Host Guy: This is the player who is the host of the game. He takes waaaaaaaaaay longer than everyone to ready up. When the match starts he is afk for most of the opening waves. Your team is about to lose on wave 8, he quits, the wave trys to restart, fails to get the players back in the game and everyone is disconnected with no money or exp awarded.

Mix of it all depending the team

Mostly just support-front line as throw and when the higher come as throw warp spam
I always go for the objectives asap and clear my route unless it`s on the other side of the map and just run to it befor it1s swarmed as my team mates mainly just screw around *some where*

Some times the sole hero syndrome when it takes abit to long and charge in with 2 dozen throws and taking direct fire just to finish the wave as they`re screwing around, usually gets me killed with only 1-2 standing while that single bullet ripped the last flashing health bar away right befor taking cover, bad habbit...

That would be me - but its usually me shooting them in the back//side as they take cover from the other guys ...infiltrator cloak helps geting into flanking position

I am the altruistic guy and abit of the fisticuffs guy. The full extraction is the most important thing in the universe guy makes me laugh so hard because it is so true, they think the extraction wave is more important than wave 10

Wave 10 is a financial question while 11 is one of ego. (Full) extraction does give a sense of pride...

The unsung hero is usually an unlucky fellow who knows how to play, but failed to get any decent weapons for a dps class (just look at me, running around with a Phalanx II, heh). I tend to get the lowest score, but who cares, I slap down a decoy, and aggro gets pulled. Even though I don't to that much damage, overall team dps skyrockets when people don't have to dodge bullets, so it's all good.

Sounds like me, right down to using the Salarian engy. Though in my case, it's a carnifex II.

I feel like contributing, so...

The Laggy Host
The pilot forgets how to fly the shuttle and remains parked at the LZ for the whole match, your character forgets how to climb ladders, and the enemies can't decide where they want to be so continually snap back and forth between positions--sounds like you've got one of these. The host scores double everyone else altogether, and you and your team tend to spend most of the waves dead because, due to a lag spike, you found everyone running straight into walls and enemies freezing and staring at you for several seconds, only for everything to snap back into reality with disastrous results. Often accompanied by being DC'd, or the host DC'ing and everyone leaving during host migration. No credits or XP for you!
