OK then, I'll save up on the collecters edition.

Those little items aren't worth buying the CE for. They're just palette swaps and the dog is useless. You can't even interact with it. The From Ashes outfits are better.

Just out of vague curiousity, is there any way to mod the game so that Ashley wears the standard female Alliance uniform (instead of that sexist get-up she currently wears...) or to give her one of the female's pulled-back "bun" hairstyles?

Not yet.

How do I move eyes closer together via gibbed editing? I know I can do this easily in the character creator but I already have a custom made Shepard from awhile ago that needs a little tweaking.

You can, actually. You just need to edit your save with Gibbed's editor. There's an entire section of casual outfits and armor parts. You can easily get the collectors edition outfits using it.

That's for Shepard, not your squadmates. The N7 Edition content isn't on the standard edition disc.

OH whoops. Looks like I skipped over the "Squadmates" part of the original post.

Also, isn't that stuff from the From Ashes DLC and not the Special Edition, or are there more outfits then I'm not aware of?

:Edit: After a quick google search, seems there were a few I was unaware of. NOW I'm pissed.

Pissed about what? Content on a more expensive version that you didn't pay for?

Yep. I didn't care about the contents of the collectors edition until I saw those outfits. If I had, I would have gladly paid more money for that edition. And chances are, I might actually buy the CE at some point now, dispite the fact that I already have the standard.

...I'm a fashion nut, please understand.

Thought I'd asked this here:

As most of you know, ME3Explorer supports upgrading our textures to 4096. This is done with the explorer and by editing the coalesced file so that Texturegroupcharacters_1024's value is 4096 rather then 1024.

This latter part causes some issues however. For textures that aren't upgraded to the 4096, some characters are covered in the black latex - like theres a shadow rendering conflict. You can still make out the texture underneath it in some lighting but I'd rather not have to wait to replace EVERY SINGLE textures in the game in order to enjoy some higher rez ones without TexMod.

Is anyone aware of a workaround in Coalesced for this? Like modifying another value that would fix this? Thanks!

How can one slow down the movement speed of the flycam?

There is a blog post for doing it in ME1 but the commands do not work in ME3 Coalesced.bin.

Closest that I've thought it "should work" was:

Coalesced.bin --> bioinput.ini --> sfxgame --> sfxgamemodeflycam

( Name="W", Command="Axis aBaseY Speed=+0.5" )
( Name="S", Command="Axis aBaseY Speed=-0.5" )
( Name="D", Command="Axis aStrafe Speed=+0.5" )
( Name="A", Command="Axis aStrafe Speed=-0.5" )

Doesn't have any effect on flycam speed. :|
But it does work for Shepard's own movement if put in sfxgamemodebase.

I was wondering: I had added the option to add all weapons as a key binding a whole back but now I don't want it anymore. However, any time I try to remove that entry from the coalesced.ini file (or even change the command to something else entirely), ME3 will refuse to start. Does anyone happen to know why this happens and if there is something I can do to fix it?

^The easy solution would be to "update" ME3 via Origin. That will wipe your coalesced file back to default status. Unfortunately it will also remove all the other mods you did in the file.

Anyone know if (after it is *legally* purchased) the new SP Weapon DLC can be edited both in level/damage variables/ROF/Spare Ammo (especially important for the harrier) in any way? I can't find them in ME3Coalesced so I fear they, despite being SP weapons now, are still stored server side. Also does anyone know (if the later isn't true) if there's a way to edit them into older saves at level X? I'd rather not have to play all the way from Mars again on 3 different saves just to put the new weapons in at Level X (Basically what are there ID's for Gibbed Save editor)? I don't think posting them should be a problem as this is "true" DLC as it appears they do not exist in game until the DLC is actually purchased (so simply trying to add say the Harrier X to SP without the purchased DLC will not work).

EDIT

Also, how do you remove the double Geth Plasma SMG (if you added it to SP awhile ago, prior to the announcement of the new DLC)? I have two now, not a big deal, but unnessasary.

Yeah I was wondering that as well. For some reason the Harrier has infinite ammo, but the others don't. :-(

Okay I figured out how to add the DLC weapons to older SP saves. The key is you have to save (just quick save) a new file AFTER purchasing (and seeing the weapons in your armory). Then go to (in Gibbed's) the raw>plot>player variables. New variables will be added at the bottom of the list, 2 for each weapon. You need to copy each of them into each of your older saves and change the non-flag item's variable to 10 to have each weapon at level 10 in your old save. So far I haven't had a problem yet doing this and am testing on a variety of saves.

Still cannot find the weapon variables though but will post back if I get lucky.

Edit I take that back, you can just add the weapon code and level it to 10. The flag variable can be ignored. So that's six lines you need to add to each save instead of 12.

Well I found the file, unfortunately I can't extract, edit, and put it back in without corrupting the sfar file. :-(

New question - is it possible to make it so that Ashley will auto-use her Marksman ability rather than it being only activated manually?

EDIT: another new question. I've looked at both Gibbed's ME2 and ME3 save editors, but I can't find where you can edit what romance occurred in ME2. I can find the ME1 variables but no tME2 - help?

You have to input the various bools to get ME2 romances. It's a pain in the ass because almost none of the lists of them are complete or even intelligible.

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned before or if this is even the place to write about it, but i had an idea the other day so I wanted to share it. I was thinking that mass effect 3 multiplayer could be used as a marvel or xmen game. If they got the rights to just dlc skins they already have a lot of animations and characters that would fit well. Nighcrawler for example with biotic charge, Magneto sabotaging weapons, wolverine with regen and strong melee, juggernaut is similar to krogan, spiderman with the web trap, telekenitic bubbles, etc. I thought it would make a really good game and a lot of money as dlc or a stand alone game. Thoughts?

Is there a way to give default Shep TIM eyes, or even those green ones in From Ashes, permanently?
