I know people were saying swapping character models wasn't possible, but this person was able to swap Kaidan onto Liara for Thessia HERE ... any ideas on how she managed it?

I'm still looking for an answer to my question... I noticed a link on page 45 that had a video of Liara with Kaidan's body and face, so I know it's possible, at least for squadmates.

I think I have an answer for you since I did accidentally the same "swapping". In fact, this video isn't really a character swapping. It is more some kind of bug that occurs if you try to remove Liara during the mission on Thessia. Basically you're forced to go on Thessia with her, and I was wondering if I could replace Liara with another squadmate, using Gibbed Save Editor.

I've set the "HenchInSquadPlotID=17663" (Liara in squad) to false and set another squadmate's ID to true. When the cutscene in the temple was triggered, the replacing squadmate started to talk with Liara's voice.
That was absolutely traumatizing, ha ha.

For fun I tried with EDI at Cronos Station but it doesn't work very well. The camera just shows us a missing EDI and the replacing squadmate has some weird moves. I didn't go too far though.

Hope it resolves the mystery about this vid! At least I'm pretty sure it is what happened to this person too (not to mention I've also used Ashley and Kaidan, don't know if the same thing happens with others). I would love if someone find a way to do characters swapping but so far I've only heard it was impossible.

Can someone help me with the ME3 Explorer? I found the DLC files I want and also the stats of the guns. But I'm a bit lost on how you change the values.
Does someone have experience with that program?

I have a question about coalesced weapon editing.  I am attempting to make a semi-automatic weapon, the Mattock, into a fully automatic one that just lets me hold mouse1 down to fire. I thought that the weapons that were semi or burst fire all had the "roundsperburst" attribute while the fully auto ones did not, so I removed that attribute. That turned out to be an inaccurate observation and at any rate did not change the way the mattock works at all as far as I can see. Any idea what I would need to do to achieve my goal?

One possible way

I know the search function for the site blows goats, but there is a decent way to search a thread:

Use google. For instance, with this problem I coudln't remember where the post was so I entered into the url bar in chrome:

[color=orange]mattock http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/368/index/10759911[/color]

Put whatever you're searching for first, then space, then the URL for the thread. Be sure you don't include the part of the url at the end that is the page number of the thread.

I haven't tested it yet, but I'm considering trying to replace another squadmate's tag with his. If that works, I'd say any character that we have a tag for could probably be replaced. Might test that later today.

Nice. Oh and using Gibbed's save editor I checked "false" on the "Is Injured Pawn" selection for the autosave of the final sequence on the Citadel, but it still forces it. Anyone know a workaround? It's likely a plot ID/Flag that is triggered on the level load and forces the injured state, but that's my theory.

I messed up my coalesced and had to replace it with the default. I was able to put most of the edits back in but the armour changes aren't in the back-up txt file.

I had two versions of the full body armours one with the helmet and one without. Does anyone know the code for helmetless armour and where I need to put it in the coalesced?

I can confirm with 95% certainty that you can't change squadmates though save editing. I tried swapping Garrus with Anderson, but his 3D model on the squad screen was still very... turian. I ran out of time before I could see him in-mission, but I'm pretty sure it didn't work.

There's still the possibility of editing the henchman section of the Coalesced.ini and swapping out flags/tags, but I don't think that'd be much more successful. I'm sure if it worked, we'd have heard of it by now...

Anyway, I can't do anymore testing on save-editing until monday, and I don't have the PC version of ME3 for the ini edits. So... no luck.

I doubt it's a plot flag. It seems like during the level load it just loads a separate animation set for Shepard, the injured one. Trying to remove it via simple editing would be like trying to make Shepard be a part of the Ministry of Silly Walks, if you know what I mean, during regular gameplay, an impossiblity.

Are you still trying to change the armor, as in not use the damaged one?

I've done it before. first time by accident and had a naked Shep. Made for a wierd ending. You can swap in any shep armor you want. Providing it works in the regular game it will work for the end sequence as well.

If it's just Shep walking around holding his/her side, that can't be changed as the entire sequence is a semi-interactive story.

You'd have to dig into the pcc files and change a lot.

This is all so confusing... I tried the bit with adding TiM's eyes but... I have absolutely no idea what the editing values part is. RGB? Auburn? All these numbers? It makes absolutely no sense to me.

Also, I tried something simple at first, like editing the amount of credits in the single player, can't even get that to work with the gibbed thing. Any tips for either of these, and just general info I should know? I am new to this. (Obviously)

2.3. Add TIMs' eyes to Shepard

a. Open save game editor and then go to the "Raw" tab.
b. Expand "Squad" > "Player" > "Appearance" > "Morph Head" > "Texture Parameters".
c. Open the Texture Parameters list and add following new entries.

  * code:
  * Name: EYE_Diff
  * Value: BIOG_HMM_HED_PROMorph.IllusiveMan.HMM_HED_PROIllusiveman_Eye_Diff

  * code:
  * Name: EYE_Spec
  * Value: BIOG_HMM_HED_PROMorph.IllusiveMan.HMM_HED_PROIllusiveman_Eye_Spec

d. Open Vector Parameters and change "EYE_Iris_Colour_Vector" name to "Emis_Color" (without the quotes) and
[color=rgb(170, 170, 170)"> ]. [/color]

e. 3rd box down you enter your RGB values, i.e; "111,53,26"  (Auburn) into the 'RGB colour:(255-based) -> RGB
     colour:(Percent-based)' input field. This will give the result of  percentages as such: 44%,21%,10%, this
     translates into ME2 as a range between 0 (0%) and 1.0 (100%). So an example of Auburn in ME2 ready colour
     format would be: (red) 0.44, (green) 0.21 and (blue) 0.1.

Random question, but does anyone know if there's a way for Shepard to wear this version of the science outfit?

Posted Image

I imagine it would be as simple as finding the texture override for it... but I could be wrong.

edit: I found what I think is the right texture override... but it doesn't seem to be working, for some reason. When I add it into my Coalesced file, it just shows up in the armor locker as the regular black and white science uniform. And if I try to make my Shepard wear it, when I save and reload the game, she's automatically wearing the first outfit in the armor locker.

Try this.

I imagine it's the one labeled "Grey and Purple (male and female)" under Science Uniform.

Although that might be what you already tried, in which case sorry, I don't know.

I can help you with that:
Add these lines in Bioui.ini => sfxuidata => spectre => storeitemarray

(ItemType=TYPE_WEAPON,ItemclassName=
"SFXGameContentDLC_CON_GUN02.SFXWeapon_Pistol_Asari_GUN02",BaseCost=1000)

(ItemType=TYPE_WEAPON,ItemclassName=
"SFXGameContentDLC_CON_GUN02.SFXWeapon_SniperRifle_Batarian_GUN02",BaseCost=1000)

(ItemType=TYPE_WEAPON,ItemclassName=
"SFXGameContentDLC_CON_GUN02.SFXWeapon_Shotgun_Salarian",BaseCost=1000)

(ItemType=TYPE_WEAPON,ItemclassName=
"SFXGameContentDLC_CON_GUN02.SFXWeapon_Shotgun_Assault_GUN02",BaseCost=1000)

(ItemType=TYPE_WEAPON,ItemclassName=
"SFXGameContentDLC_CON_GUN02.SFXWeapon_Pistol_Bloodpack",BaseCost=1000)

(ItemType=TYPE_WEAPON,ItemclassName=
"SFXGameContentDLC_CON_GUN02.SFXWeapon_AssaultRifle_LMG_GUN02",BaseCost=1000)

(ItemType=TYPE_WEAPON,ItemclassName=
"SFXGameContentDLC_CON_GUN02.SFXWeapon_AssaultRifle_Krogan_GUN02",BaseCost=1000)

You need DLC to be installed first of course :devil:

Hah, yeah, that is what I tried. For some reason, the texture doesn't show up. I'm not sure why.

With some of the other outfits too (some of the dresses, in particular), I've noticed NPCs wearing them in textures that aren't on that list, for some reason. I wonder if that's just because no one's extracted the codes yet, or if there's a reason Shepard can't use certain textures, even on outfits he/she can wear?
