Has any one figured out how to switch powers for Shepard yet? That is to say, replace Cryo Blast by Pull for the Sentinel for example?

And failing that, has foes anyone know how to add a regular power to the Bonus Power list?

I found a way to give Shepard access to Biotic Protector. However it is bugged and appears to have no effect, probably because the player was never meant to be able to use it. Shepard holsters their weapon and begins the animation but it bugs out and you're able to continue moving and firing your invisible gun. Once the power's duration expires, Shepard pulls the gun back out. I tried wading into gunfire after "activating" it and quickly died so I don't think the invulnerability effect is properly applied either. I tried giving it to Liara too and the same thing happened with her so I think that power is a Nyreen only thing unfortunately.

If anybody is curious and wants to see it for themselves, add this keybind to bioinput > sfxgame > sfxgamemodebase > bindings

( Name="NumPadOne", Command="givepower self sfxgamecontentdlc_exp_pack002.SFXPowerCustomAction_NyreenBubbleShield" )

Note that any non-bonus power you give to Shepard through a keybinding will disappear every time the game loads (refunding any points spent in it) so you'll have to hit the key each time to get it back. Bonus powers will stick though. With Biotic Protector it's pointless since it doesn't work but you can use this method to give yourself any other single player power in the game. With vanilla game powers you can just put something like "givepower self Singularity" and it will work. DLC bonus powers require you to point the game to the correct area. Those are:

sfxgamecontentdlc_exp_pack001.SFXPowerCustomAction_Dominate
sfxgamecontentdlc_exp_pack002.SFXPowerCustomAction_BioticFlare
sfxgamecontentdlc_exp_pack002.SFXPowerCustomAction_AriaLash

You can also give powers to squaddies by replacing "self" with their name, so you can give Garrus biotics and such. Javik and James might require "Prothean" and "Marine" respectively although I didn't try them.

I was hoping one of you guys know about this.

I have been looking for a long time for spectre mods to attach a spectre logo to the armor for ME3, and I could never find one.

I saw this video on the Omega dlc and it has what appears to be a spectre mod that does this very thing. Do any of you know who the creator is or where the mod is from?

The tweak to reset Javik's powers in the medbay doesn't seem to work anymore. Don't know if it's from the newer patches or the new DLCs or what.

Anyone know how to get it working again?

The mod was created by smarteck. He's responsible for a large number of excellent High Resolution skins, one of them being the Spectre reskin of the Ajax armor. Here's his thread and you can download the specific skin you want here. The pack containing the skin is called "Alternate Appearance 1 HD Pack".

This is not part of the class script inside the engine therefore no powers can be swapped - until someone writes a new unreal class script that adds it to the engine - and voila possible.

There are only temp. workarounds for this, whenever a cinematic ends or a sequence, load a savegame.... it will reset the char class because the game does not know how to handle it - it falls back - default.

This needs to be coded and as far as i know - this has not been done - at least not in Mass Effect.

I just found this FOV fix, and thanks, thanks, thanks.
I got some mine throbbing by the insanely narrow fov in the single player campaing, it's much more enjoyable now.

Could someone give me a "tutorial" on how to:
remove the helmet of the Defender armor and to give custom femshep the default's face texture?
Is there a way to replace the vanguards heavy melee with the soldiers?

I used the gibbed editor for the XboX before. But now I will switch to the PC.

To remove the helmet of the Defender, you'll have to edit the coalsced. You can't do it with the save editor.

All the information you need is found here.


Download and install the coalesced utility and open the coalesced found in .../Mass Effect 3/BIOgame/CookedPCConsole

The line for the Defender armour is locationed in:

biogame.ini -->sfxgame -->sfxplayercustomization -->fullbodyhelmetappearances = (multiple)

Edit the lines of code so they read:

(Id=0,Type=CustomizableType_Helmet)

Where 0 is the number already present on the line.

(Id=1...
(Id=2...

etc.

If you only wish to edit the Defender armour, then the line with (Id=0...) is the one you want to edit.

Save the file and overwrite the original. The Defender armour will now be permantly without a helmet. When in areas where a breather helmet is necessary (Geth Ship, Refinary etc.), Shepard will automatically equip the N7 breather helmet.

Remember to back up your original coalesced first! 

You'll have to go through the same proceedure every time the game is patched. Do not manually get Origin to check for updates. It will redownload the original coalesced every time, removing the changes you made.

Is it possible to equip squad mates with different holdout weapons?
I would like to swap Ashley and Garrus sniper rifle to a shotgun and pistol respectively.
Any help on this is greatly appreciated.

Yes you can.

As with the no helmet 'fix', it requires that you edit the coalesced, so follow the instructions above to download and open the coalesced.ini.

The data for squadmate loadouts is located in

biogame.ini > sfxgame > sfxplayersquadloadoutdata > henchloadoutinfo

From there, you can change the loadouts of your squadmates to the desired weapons. I recommend editing these when on the Normandy (or in any other non-combat area) as changing them during a mission can result in some funky animation problems and stretched models.

Ashley's default loadout is:

(className=SFXPawn_Ashley,Weaponclasses=(LoadoutWeapons_AssaultRifles,LoadoutWeapons_SniperRifles))

Change it to this:

(className=SFXPawn_Ashley,Weaponclasses=(LoadoutWeapons_AssaultRifles,LoadoutWeapons_Shotguns))

Garrus' default loadout is:

(className=SFXPawn_Garrus,Weaponclasses=(LoadoutWeapons_AssaultRifles,LoadoutWeapons_SniperRifles))

Change it to this:

(className=SFXPawn_Garrus,Weaponclasses=(LoadoutWeapons_AssaultRifles,LoadoutWeapons_HeavyPistols))

Save the file. Ashley should now be able to use Shotguns, and Garrus should be able to use pistols. Hope that helps.

I am new to modding ME3....I had experiance with the second game but just came back to the third (after being scarred from the ending I had to take a long absense from the single player).

I had never made a male Shepard but I am interested to know if I could somehow mod the skin/eyes to look like this for the Xbox 360? Does anyone know the code or how I'd go about doing this?

Also I have looked around and I am wondering if anyone has found a way to give Femshep Ashley's or Miranda's hair for the 360?

Hi, I don't know if this has been ask before, but can you mod your squadmate's appearance?

I would be happy if there is a way to change Miranda's outfit to her ME2 alternate appearance (or any generic armor available in ME3), get EDI to wear clothing on board the Normandy (her armor would be just fine), femshep's black dress (it's just damn f*ugly with those silver chains. Prefer the one she got from Kasumi) and Kaidan with his formal Alliance blues when in a non combat situation ?

Btw is there any way to make this happen / or toturial available on how to make these possible? A real basic toturial for retards like me, I mean. LoL.

You'll need to use Gibbed and open a previous save. May even have to restart from the save you originally edited.

Then you'll need to set Jack's bool to false or/and set the Int to 3 or less. Don't know if you have to do both or just the Int.

Then start the game from that point.

Or you can try to edit the save just before you got to the Ashley part you're referencing. Test and find out.

Personally, I make all my changes to a copy of a save (finished) from a previous play through then import that as a NG+

A little time consuming but much easier than dealing with stuff as it comes up.
