Is there any value you have to edit the id's on the war assets to? Only asking because I changed them and now I have no war assets lmao.

does changing the war assets give you the "Breathe," Ending? I only changed it so I can see wrex in the game and fix a few other things (It wasnt showing that I played BDTS) ...

Would like to see the breathe ending and will probably just change it at the very end of the game.

There's a problem with the ambient dialogue in engineering not triggering properly - apparently, instead of using the proper engineering script, the game instead checks whether you're friends with Ashley. So if you don't bother with her or if you have Kaiden, you don't get to see a ton of intereaction with Ken & Gabby and Tali & Garrus.

If someone can figure out the flags for your relationship with Ashley and PM them to me, I'll post the info on the Tech Support board.

Here's some info from one of the BioWare folks. Am I the only one who thinks it's preposterous that they won't fix "easy" bugs? :

Does anybody know how to make shields not to block powers? here in biogame\\sfxgame\\sfxgameconfig is a line bshieldsblockpowers=true, but changing it to "false' does not help.
And i also want to know about removing shared power cooldown both for player, partymembers and enemies and icnreasing damage made by partymembers/

I'd guess setting usesharedcooldown to false would make powers use independent cds, but I'm too lazy to test it...

Regarding shields, do you mean the increase in cooldown time they cause? If so, power specs are in
biogame.ini > sfxgamecontent > sfxpowercustomaction
; all the shield-type powers (Barrier, Fortification, Geth Shield Boost, Tech Armor) have two things in common: encumbrancepenalty and evolve_encumbrancebonus.

Again, I'm too lazy to test it myself :whistle:, but encumbrancepenalty has values of 0.6 and 0.8, so I bet that's the default 60% or 80% slow they cause, whereas evolve_encumbrancebonus has a flat value of 0.3, so that's probably the 30% reduction to the penalty that you can choose in the talent trees for each power. Try editing those values and see what happens.

Looks like you can increase shield strength, power damage, duration, and reduce cooldown times here, too. Some powers have a line called henchmancooldowntime, which seems to always be longer than player cooldown time, so reducing that would probably make squadmates use powers more often.

There's probably a very obvious answer to my question, but it's not showing up. If it helps, I installed ME3 via disk, not digital download.

the problem is that setting usesharedcooldonw just doestnt do anything (despite  in MA2 it was effective)
Regardind to shields- no, thats not what i mean. As you know since MA2 you cant use some biotics on shielded enemies- for example i cant raise a shielded enemy with pull or singularity, or knock him with throw. In MA2 it could be fixed by setting bshieldsblockpowers to false, but in MA3 fixing it just doesnt work ingame.

I already figured this out in the Ken & Gabby thread.

The integers and plot flags that that handles Ashleys Romance and friendship, which the engie section looks for is the Integers 10314 and 10330, their combined value has to be atleast 8 or higher. Or Plot boolean 19724 has to be set to true.
Setting 19724 as true will lock out other romances tho. So it's better to instead set either 10314 or 10330 as 8.

The conditional that handles the romance and friendship, that engie looks at. Looks like this

Open Windows Explorer or the Start Menu and type coalesced.bin into the search box. :)

It's not really necesary too be honest to remove that anyways. As most enemies, even at insane difficutly dont get any shields, armor or barrier. Like they did in ME2.
And most biotic powers can still be aplied to shielded anemies, so you can use biotic explosions. Like Stasis and reave for instance. Which rips thru most shields.

And it's probably because powers liek stasis and reave can be applied to shielded enemies, which is why the bshieldsblockpowers doesnt work anymore. ME3 takes the ME2 engine and reuses most of the assest from there. Like the Defence matrix ability is called gethshieldboost in coal.bin. Which means they simply repurposed that old slot.
So it stands to reason that allot of old settings may not work anymore, as they may have changed how things work. Like combo explosions for instance.

Thanks for the reply.

I did that, and all I'm finding is a text document that comes with the Save Editor that mentions it. I don't know how my game could be functioning without it, so it has to be there. Anymore ideas?

EDIT: Nevermind, I got it. A computer-wide search using a second Start menu search revealed that the Coal.bin was in my EA games folder. Thank you for the help! Your suggestion actually did lead me to the solution, even though I already tried it!

For me its nescesary, i just hate it
Strange, cause reave and stasis could be used on shielded enemies in MA2 also, could they? and bshieldsblock powers was working
Anyway, do you have any idea how to prevent shields from blocking powers?(to balance it its possible to make a mod, where most enemies have shields, i dont know how to do that, but have some ideas)

Also, i ve figured out how to change partymembers s damage   bioai\\sfxgame\\sfxai\\henchman\\henchmanattackbonus

Quick question. Anyone know how to change the ending to this terrible game? Cuz from what I hear bioware refuses to do it.

Any way to set a nuke off or something? Just obliterate 80 hours worth of decisions or anything like that?

It's in coalesced.

bioinput.ini > sfxgame > sfxgamemodebase > bindings > ( Name="F4", Command="Quit", Alt=true )

You press it right before Star Child. Awfully prescient of them to include it for us.:wizard:

So is it possible to fix the weapons issue during cut scenes, to show what you have equipped instead of the default avenger and gun? or is that something BioWare has to fix on their end?

Is there any way to change which outfits squadmates wear onboard the Normandy (and/or on the Citadel)? Specifically, I'd like to change Ashley from that blue one she normally has to the similar but lighter colored one as well as put either alternate outfit on EDI so she's not just "bare", but general info is good too if anyone has it.

Great thread, BTW, really appreciate everyone helping on all this sort of stuff. Very cool.

Hi, just asking how do you change the beginning outfit and armor when you start a new game? Why I asking is I like to use a casual appearence from the ME2 as my starting outfit and my main armor from ME2 - like blood dragon?
