1. Liara T'soni
I dislike Liara for a couple big reasons. One, she's well... boring. I know Bioware likes to claim how dark/edgy she got over the course of 3 games, but in all seriousness? She's the exact same powder blue Prothean obsessed Asari with a fixed haircut she's always been. Even after becoming the hub of an intergalactic network of spies and assassins she still manages to fail to arouse any emotions in me whatsoever. Plus, the woman spends entirely too much time trying to infiltrate my nervous system with her creepy omni-sexual physiology. Seriously, anyone who's into that concept disturbs me a little (and I am not a man easily disturbed). But the biggest one? Being that my Shep's an Adept I end up forced to drag her lame ass with me on missions so I've got someone to combo off of because they decided to cut the only other Biotic squadmate from the ****ing game!
2. Samara/Morinth
Guess that makes all the Asari squadmates huh? See these two are here largely because of what *wasn't* done with them, rather than what was. In ME2 they were both given great backstories and dialogue (Asari vampire and Asari knight errant? Hells yeah!), and both could play pivotal roles in the suicide mission. Then come ME3 they were included largely as an afterthought. Samara shows up for one mission with pretty decent odds of killing herself at its conclusion, and Morinth gets the "You got mail!" treatment. So what I can't stand about these 2 is that they weren't used to their full extent.
3. Mordin Solus
*Sigh* Poor Mordin. Brilliant scientist, exceptional combatant, wonderful singer and stupid S.O.B. He was a good man, but in the end he lost his nerve. I can't respect anyone who gives up on their convictions because of latent feelings of guilt getting in the way. Not when something like galactic stability is on the line >.>
4. Kaiden Alenko
There is nothing about this man that isn't better demonstrated by another character and portrayed better by another VA. In short, I seem to have misplaced that rat's ass I could give.
5. Tali
First off: engineers are the least useful kind of character by far. In all the games. So there's almost never a good reason to bring Tali on missions. Second, her demeanor and actions are at least vaguely reminiscent of a lovestruck teenaged girl. And *any* adult with clear memories of highschool has less than fond opinions of lovestruck teenaged girls. And third... well, after keeping it hidden for 5 years, I would've expected something wayyy better to be tucked under that mask. My personal hope was some sort of ALIENS like monstrosity to squick out all the Talimancers, but alas.
