Yes, squadmates only, so no Diana Allers. Alright here are my big ones:

1. Liara T'soni

I dislike Liara for a couple big reasons. One, she's well... boring. I know Bioware likes to claim how dark/edgy she got over the course of 3 games, but in all seriousness? She's the exact same powder blue Prothean obsessed Asari with a fixed haircut she's always been. Even after becoming the hub of an intergalactic network of spies and assassins she still manages to fail to arouse any emotions in me whatsoever. Plus, the woman spends entirely too much time trying to infiltrate my nervous system with her creepy omni-sexual physiology. Seriously, anyone who's into that concept disturbs me a little (and I am not a man easily disturbed). But the biggest one? Being that my Shep's an Adept I end up forced to drag her lame ass with me on missions so I've got someone to combo off of because they decided to cut the only other Biotic squadmate from the ****ing game! :P

2. Samara/Morinth

Guess that makes all the Asari squadmates huh? See these two are here largely because of what *wasn't* done with them, rather than what was. In ME2 they were both given great backstories and dialogue (Asari vampire and Asari knight errant? Hells yeah!), and both could play pivotal roles in the suicide mission. Then come ME3 they were included largely as an afterthought. Samara shows up for one mission with pretty decent odds of killing herself at its conclusion, and Morinth gets the "You got mail!" treatment. So what I can't stand about these 2 is that they weren't used to their full extent.

3. Mordin Solus

*Sigh* Poor Mordin. Brilliant scientist, exceptional combatant, wonderful singer and stupid S.O.B. He was a good man, but in the end he lost his nerve. I can't respect anyone who gives up on their convictions because of latent feelings of guilt getting in the way. Not when something like galactic stability is on the line >.>

4. Kaiden Alenko

There is nothing about this man that isn't better demonstrated by another character and portrayed better by another VA. In short, I seem to have misplaced that rat's ass I could give.

5. Tali

First off: engineers are the least useful kind of character by far.  In all the games. So there's almost never a good reason to bring Tali on missions. Second, her demeanor and actions are at least vaguely reminiscent of a lovestruck teenaged girl. And *any* adult with clear memories of highschool has less than fond opinions of lovestruck teenaged girls. And third... well, after keeping it hidden for 5 years, I would've expected something wayyy better to be tucked under that mask. My personal hope was some sort of ALIENS like monstrosity to squick out all the Talimancers, but alas.

Something tells me you're not serious. You're only missing Garrus, Wrex and Legion from your most hated list.

The one I can't stand depends entirely of the context. When Tali gives you a photo it's "NOOOOO!", when Liara says "Hello" after proclaiming your love it's "NOOOOOOO!", when Kaidan starts to hit on you it's "NOOOOO!" and when Miranda sticks her ass on the lens it's "NOOOOO!". Not forgetting the prizee.

Ashley. She never acts like a soldier, just a hot-headed, impulsive psycho. She never believes Shepard, and in ME3 got the Kardashian treatment. At least Kaidan ACTS like the officer he is, and doesn't BS Shepard.

Am I the only guy who finds the "camera -> ass" argument a bit tired? Miranda's always been Ms. Fanservice, and there are significantly less tasteful ways to push sex appeal >.>

Kaiden. What a boring bastard, it's inhumane to let him live.

james f-ing vega, why would you put a new character who has no knowledge of reapers, geth, or anything besides tatoos, and sun tan lotion. complete waste to the game.

Ashley, no matter what I did she always doubted me. At the same time I was nice to her once and she thought I was hitting on her and got jealous of Liara. I doubt she will ever make it off Virmire.

I never used Kaiden, but I didn't hate him, was kindof indifferent.
But Ashley I needed most, so she got to live when he got nuke fried.

Morinth
Not keen on serial killer squadmates, so let Samara do the instep dance on her neck.

Subject Zero
Not a team player and rude, especially to Miranda.
I don't tolerate open insorbordination in my crew, Miranda is second in command, so what she says goes! And since SZ kept trying to take Miranda's job, especially not having the experience or skill to co-ordinate leadership in battle, the Collectors did me a favor by removing SZ permanently from my crew.

Zaeed Massani
He was too much like SZ.
Plus, revenge crazy.
I left him to explode underneath a girder for endangering innocents for his obsession.

Kaidan and Ashley. Mostly because neither of them did anything particularly interesting or endearing. Oh and then there's Jacob. Maybe if Jacob were more of a bro, but as it is he doesn't fit as part of my team.

1. James Vega, the man is nothing more then a second guessing gun jock. Why would I trust my Shep's life in the hand of a man who wanted to recklessly return to a war torn Earth? Also no other character gave my Shep lip like he did right before Mars and got away with it. Granted he saved me ONCE on Mars but hey that can be said about Grunt, Legion, Tali, Mordin, Kaidan, Ashley... Heck if you want to go on that then the best squadmate is Miranda for bringing you back to life. (Well she is the best squadmate regardless as Overload + Warp + Squad Bonus was just awesome as was her character but...)

2. Kaidan/Ashley. Again this relates to James Vega. All they do throughout ME3 and during the ME2 cameo isn't second guess you after you save their ass in the first game sacrificing someone else in the process! Honestly how are these two any better than the council who dismisses your claims?

3. Jacob. Man this guy is BORING. The also such a patheticly small role in ME2 for a forced squadmate and is ME3 cameo is just terrible... Pointless squadmate and render useless by Miranda.

1: Ashley. Came off as the type who never learned to think for herself and reacts to everything based on what she learned when she was a child, and everything is way too black & white to her. The type that in another life would be the scumbag sheltering suburban mom meme. Useful as a grunt, but little else, and thus eats the nuke on Virmire every time.

2: Miranda. "Oh, I'm perfect, and I'm the Ice Queen. Oh wait, I'm vulnerable and insecure beneath all of my perfection, oh woe is perfection!". She's basically just there to fill out a latex body suit.

Everyone else had their issues but were much more tolerable, I just never liked these two particular squadmates.

Ashley deserves a truck to the teeth for the way she acts in 2 and 3 at the start... (I never took her on any missions in 3 because I only got limited ammo and needed it to shoot at the badguys also)

(Shouldn't this be in the character section?)

1. Kaidan Alenko.
He always dies on Virmire. He's such a boring, do nothing character. Ashley may have a stick up her butt, but at least she has character.

2. Jacob Taylor.
I actually don't mind him as a character so much, but he falls into the Kaidan category of forgettable people. He's just way to simple and uninteresting.

3. Samara.
It might be that we get her later in the game and so she doesn't grow on me as much, but she's so....monotone. Literally and figuratively. Her personality drones on me to the point where I don't even want to talk to her.

Kaiden, but only in ME3. I was creeped out on how much it felt like they (BioWare) were "pushing" him at you as a LI even when you play a male. I know gay and Bi people and that is not the way they are. They seem to have a sixth sense for when people are not interested and/or straight and very rarely will make that kind of mistake.

Liara, but again only in ME3. She has changed alot and they, BioWare again, seem to push her at you hard through the whole game. When she shows up in my cabin not once, but twice without asking or being invited, I was like "WTH? If I wanted you in my personal space, I would have asked." The greater detail of her "scaly skin" textures turned me off as well. I was thinking..."yea, that would chaff".

I have very fond memories of such girls ,maybe that's why I like Tali.

Vega - Really don't need him
Ashely - Don't want someone like that on my ship
Kaidan - His name means stairs in Japanese and he's about as interesting.

You missed how OP Engineers are.

It's a testament to how fantastic a trilogy of games that Bioware made overall that I love nearly every possible squadmate.

If I had to pick my least favorites, my list would be the ones below in no particular order.

Ashley
Kaiden
Vega

Ashley goes from being a xenophobic, racist b**** to an untrusting nagging b****. Kaiden is boring and whiney. Vega is boring, whiny, bland and stupid.

I loved all the rest of the characters to varying degrees.
