Yeah, I'm not sure you can classify gang rape and years of physical and psychological torture as "angst," but all right.

...Or Ashley as racist for that matter, but that's pretty common.

"Can not stand" would be too strong of a statement, but throughout the series, I only found Jacob to be uninteresting and I kind of disliked ME3 Kaidan.

I couldn't stand Garrus. As soon as I saw he tried making moves on Tali, I shoved him into an airlock and vented him out while over Palaven...... sigh, just another Reaper casualty... damn this war

I will also say this: Jack did annoy me in ME2. Largely because she had no idea how to curse. You can't just snarl "****!" all the time, you've gotta mix it up with some adjectives or you just sound stupid and simple >.>

If you actively hate any of the characters and go out of your way to kill any of them, you're a terrible commander.

I'm a terrible commander ma'am!

I'm guilty of sending Subject Zero and Massani to their deaths intentionally.

I dislike EDI as a squadmate. Didn't see her purpose, would rather have Jack back. Also did you say you DIDN'T LIKE TALI? I'd punch you in the face if I knew you. Square in the mouth.

Garrus. I liked him in ME1 and tolerated in ME2, now I'm just utterly sick of him.

The only ones I dislike are the VS, anyone of them, for their personality. A lot of complaining in ME2 and 3 tbh. The only funny part with Ashley's romance in ME3 was when she got mad that I cheated on her with Miranda in ME2.

Then I dislike some other characters just because they're useless in combat, but that's not the point here.

Shepard didn't come as far as he did to listen to the petulant whining of a 16 year old with backwards bending knees and pre-natal HIV.

(You're the one who made it personal :P)

Also I had no problem with EDI. I got tired of her lazy ass ordering me around on missions in her cozy AI core. Was nice to be able to put her to work firing/absorbing bullets with the rest of the crew as long as she was looking over my shoulder anyway.

Ashley - no doubt about it, I find her incapable of having a point of view in the entire perspective of things...only a grunt woking around based on appearances with half thought ideeas... and now in ME3 she became bimbofied which is actually worse in my books. Ash eats the bomb in ME1 99% of the time.

No offence to the actor that lent Ash her voice but even her lines get on my nerves.

I had a saved character with her on the squad and Kaidan dead, needless to say in ME3 when it came the moment to get her back in the party after she got her skull bashed in I actually made her go to Hackett, couldn't stand another dialog line with her.

If it were up to me I would have kept Jenkins while feeding Ash to the husks back on Eden, to bad she didn't make an appearance in ME2, would have forced a grenade in her armor while jumping over a Collector.

They're only bad if they turn into personal bickering contests between individual people.

Besides, nothing brings people together like mutual hatred.

I dislike Ashley. Always have, and now I can't even express that because of this game's autodialog.

Heck I can't even kick her off the ship right. When you do you give some made up reason about how she would be more useful elsewhere. That isn't my reason. My reason is that she doesn't trust me and I don't want someone around that second guesses me for no rational reason.

She burned the bridge and I don't want to rebuild it.

Mass Effect:

Garrus, Wrex and Kaidan. Despite starting out bland and uninteresting, all three of these guys have gotten far more likeable (especially Garrus and Wrex in ME3) as the series has progressed. In the first game though, I honestly have no interest in anything any of them have to say and they never leave the Normandy. I must've played that game a dozen times now and gotten every other achievement except the ones for bringing these guys along for the majority of the game.

Mass Effect 2:

Jack and Zaeed. While it took several playthroughs for most of the characters to grow on me (Grunt, Jacob and Samara taking the longest, Legion, Miranda and Kasumi taking the least) Jack and Zaeed just never have. While Zaeed is plain unlikeable in every way and annoys me every time he opens his mouth, Jack's attitude makes her a total killjoy to bring along for missions but I quite enjoy talking to her aboard the Normandy.

Mass Effect 3:

No one. James was a little wobbly at first but I always felt like there was a lot about him to love and the more time I spent with him the more I came to adore him. It's nice to have a squadmate who is genuinely funny and has a playful attitude to boot. The harmless flirtation that goes on between him and FemShep left me giggling uncontrollably more often than I care to admit.

Ashley/Kaiden - I can understand their reaction on Horizon, but they were just annoying in ME3
I also found Garrus' forced friendship irritating.
