However, it's also very likely that the Catalyst can't control/maintain his own "body" anymore.

I would burst out laughing if they go with that. What a cop out that would be.

Well, this makes me a little sad as it appears they're not going to change that part but rather just clarify it. Even if it makes sense, I don't want my crew to crash land on an alien planet...

The only way out for bioware, is to roll with the ind theory, say they had planned it all along, give everyone the patch to continue from there, free as a sign that they did plan it all along. But if they planned it all along and fooled all pro-enders into thinking they "get it" when it was actually an unfinished product, they alienate another section of their supporters.

All 5 of them, yessir...

lol be nice. We are all ME fans buddy. :innocent:

It comes with being French :P

In all seriousness, I've calmed down a little bit now, and I think we're reading waaaaay too much into these tweets. The best thing we can do right now is to hold the line until the 6th without over-analyzing the scraps of "information" we get.

Regardless, it's been a fun month.

Why? It would make sense with the concept that Reapers needed Keepers to maintain the Citadel and control it when needed. Actually, it ALREADY makes sense. In ME1 it is said that Reapers signaling the Citadel doesn't do anything. Only the Keepers can open the arms, the Citadel can't do it "itself". Therefore the conclusion is clear - Catalyst can't control his own body anymore.

What CarGryph said is exactly what I was getting at with my earlier posts....he just said it a little nicer than I......while I resorted to telling people what they are doing...."whining about nothing".....wait til April when they announce w.e it is, or wait til you actually experience the content....then by all means, b**** and moan all you want...

Bioware can't make everybody happy in the long run....nobody can.....but whining about something we know nothing about is pointless

It was just the Collectors

The lead on that is tenious at best from ME2. He is the "voice" of the Reapers to the players, their spokesperson if you will. He is also the first to "light up" in the ending cutscene and appears to be leading the formation. If he isn't their leader, he is at least important.

This makes me sad. It tells me BioWare is going to attempt to clarify their ****ty ending in stead of making a better one.

Not a cop out at all, in fact that would be the reason why the reapers plan didnt work the first time. The proteans could be preparing the citadel to recieve the catalyst when they changed the keepers.

Its a very reasonable answer...

Up here in Canada I paid $89.00 for a collector's edition - and I get this? A game where my L1 (Liara) can't even recall my Sheppard committed back in ME2, then again during Mars, and again back on the Normandy. And Liars sill calls my Sheppard her "friend" - I think Sheppard would be more than a "friend" after making love twice before in any universe. An ending BW has yet to "explain" YET? That makes no sense in the first place - there is no explaining ugly - ugly cuts to the bone. I was PROMISED all questions would be answered - then after the ending blow up their ending was to cause speculation? Completely at odds with all their promises? There IS no getting around flat out highly questionable tactics used to promote a totally unfinished product I was led to believe I paid for and was self-contained as advertised. Ugly is a very short game with junk side quests - with more holes than swiss cheese. NOW they're gonna "explain" it all away as if I don't have at least one functioning brain cell still active? I'm not buying it. I'm at the point where show me is the only option left - I've had it with promises and in this particular case BW has little credibility left with me that they even honor their own commitments - so why should I believe anything they say anymore?

So it doesn't make sense. Whether yet is operable term or not that is acknowledgement that the ending as stands doesn't make sense; because it doesn't. That's part of what's so horrible about it as is.

But then why would the catalyst be the master of the cycle? The weak follow the powerfull, not the other way around, so i'm pretty sure thousands of machines designed for destruction would have a hard time following what could only be compared to a cripple.

Not if the cripple can still control them. Losing control over his own body doesn't mean his control over the Reapers was hindered in anyway.
