Shouldn't the core ending make sense within the context of the information we're given in the core game?

If their plan was to make us buy dlc in order to make sense of that giant mess of an ending, I may go from being disappointed to having an apoplectic fit.

Just snagged this from the ME3 Twitter...

"@azapyoursaviour No you are not alone :) We have had quite a few people tell us they liked/understood it. Thank you for sharing! "

"..they liked/understood it."

Harbinger's blast K.O.'d Shep! And she only sees the boy in the dreams.

ALIENS!

Y'know how some people know everyone on the Citadel is dead? Twitter. Awesome, isn't it, how things that should be explained in the story, aren't.

That was honestly the least of my issues with ME3's ending.

Allow Shepard to debate the Catalyst, and then I'll be happy.

So they're going to add something that makes the scene where jokers flies off with my crew make sense.

They'll still be marooned on that blasted planet and Shepard is on earth about to be crushed by the citadel crashing on earth (in the best ending). The space kid is still there and the mass relays still blow up. How is this any better?

People here keep saying how they dont want a happy ending with blue babies, they just want a story that makes sense even if it ends with everyone dead. I guess the community is going to get what we are telling bioware we really want...

There are a LOT of people here saying that they do want a happy ending, or at least an option to have one. The story making sense is a part of that happy ending, obviously. Lol

That tweet angered me, actually. The Citadel is this flagship location that serves as a nexus for characters and stories, and Walters just says, "Oh, yeah, they're probably all dead."

I don't know anyone on Earth outside of Anderson, but there are so many connections and emotional investment in the Citadel population for players to explore. Yet it's Earth that's the big deal but the Citadel just gets purged off-screen and without concern? Ugh.

This gives me less hope, not more. If they're just going to try and explain away all the plot holes rather than change the ending to one that isn't crazy then I'm not on board.

Great. So the Normandy will one day have teleportation technology in a future DLC.

This is one of my biggest issues as well. I would very much like an option to tell the Catalyst to go and kill himself quietly in a back room somewhere. I don't want to fire the space magic device and blow the relays up.

Well at least they admit to one of the plot holes. Now let's see what other attempts at misdirection their PR department will throw out.

Hold the line.

Ever have one of those dreams where you suddenly awake and hear something... like your alarm clock and you had totally assimilated that sound into your dream before you awoke?

Yeah... funny how those squadmates just suddenly are together in some bizarre alien world.

The present ending cannot be clarified away short of making it an IT dream sequence. Otherwise it must be purged.

BioWare's Mike Gamble has told GamerZines that players should probably hold onto their Mass Effect 3 save files, because you never know what may come in future.

"Obviously I can't say anything, but it wouldn't be a bad idea," he said.

So what do you think? They will add some level/cutscenes explaining why squadmates are on Normandy?

Honestly, I'm gonna be mad if there's STILL no way to prevent at least one of the squadmates (the LI) from getting stranded on the jungle planet and separated from Shep ugh...

"Wooo!- lots of speculation1111 !!!".

You know what?, Its was intriguing at the beginning, but if this was planned then clearly Bioware have no taste for when a joke has gone too far.
Loads of my friends are done with Mass Effect having moved their enthusiasm on to other titles.  Bioware may think everyone is hanging on their every little twitter-tease but the truth is far from that.
Get over yourselves Bioware and just reveal what you are going to do about fulfillling your pre-release promises, then we'll talk further support for the franchise.

@masseffect @igotzpancakemix Are you saying the ending is incomplete? Not attacking, I just have a hard time understanding what's going on!

@karrie788 We haven't released any info on this yet! Stay tuned!

... all right, holding the line. :/

Ugh, all this vague deflecting talk they do is wearing me down.

Know what I enjoyed before Mass Effect 3 came out? Speculating about the ending.

Know what I don't want to do after I beat Mass Effect 3? SPECULATE ABOUT THE ENDING

They're not gonna change it, they're just gonna put band-aids that don't work over it.

Even if the Indoctrination Theory is true, it means that the final conversation with Anderson is make-believe. That's retarded.
