If they pull an "it was all a dream" I am done with Bioware games. Not even Bioware can get away with a plot point that poor.

Unless that plot point is already built into the storyline, which it may be,if indoc theory is true...?

EDIT: But I don't think it is. Dream plots are usually only well done when the story makes it clear near the beginning that the narrative might be unreliable, such when one of the main plot points of the story is the, "Is this real or not" dilema (i.e. Inception where we're told up front that DiCaprio's character might be dreaming the whole thing).

If they don't want to change the damn ending why not get off their high horse and straight up tell us what the hell happened?!?

This doesnt prove anything frankly, I bet they'll just implement a short cutscene with Joker landing and picking up your squadmates.

Was not a dream, was a fight going on in his head.

I think this is why they are waiting till pax. If it is indoc all along thats the only place they are going to sit down and actually be listened to instead of being yelled at and ignored.

Can't wait how they explain it if your squad is shown dead with a pool of blood around them and ends up coming back to life unharmed.

Indoctrination Theory also explains why garrus bleeds red blood instead of blue in that scenario

I was hoping they would get rid of the whole crash of the Normandy. This news aggravates me.

I really think its unacceptable. The ending should make sense straight away. Not after 2 weeks of looking for masseffect tweets

Oh boy.... The indoctrination theory isn't true, can we get off of that already? You guys are starting to sound like extremists going from door to door with pamphlets trying to convert people to your Indoc ideology. :P It. Was. Not. A. Dream

That tweet angered me, actually. The Citadel is this flagship location that serves as a nexus for characters and stories, and Walters just says, "Oh, yeah, they're probably all dead."

I don't know anyone on Earth outside of Anderson, but there are so many connections and emotional investment in the Citadel population for players to explore. Yet it's Earth that's the big deal but the Citadel just gets purged off-screen and without concern? Ugh.

I absolutely abhorred this tweet when I read it. To not only invalidate every side mission that we have done regarding the Citadel, but have the gall to say "They're PROBABLY all dead?!" What in the hell does that convey besides a profound lack of consideration to the fans? It only adds to the garbage pile of "Speculation for everyone!" that makes this whole ordeal so frustrating.

We had a great many characters who we have come to appreciate that were last seen on the Citadel before it gets taken over. We are never treated to any kind of warning or vision of this impending doom -- all that we get is a suprisingly deadpan statement from Admiral Anderson that "The Citadel has been moved to Earth". Okay, so what does that mean exactly? Is everyone dead? Did they evacuate, or even try and fight back? According to Mac, errybody's ded. Cool. Real classy way to write so many important people out of the story at the very last moment (Aethyta, The Council, Aria, Bailey, the entire goddamn population of civilians that we have spent a large portion of the game supposedly "preparing for war").

If this was intended as a joke, it went right over my head. Sadly, I don't believe tha t it was meant to be humorous. More likely, it was a cop-out. Pure and simple. "I don't have the time or motivation to concoct an explanation for how the Citadel takeover might have gone, so I'll just kill everyone off and leave it at that. This is war, of course, we need more sacrifice to get that point across."

Shameful. I might have been inclined to let it slide if the entire end sequence hadn't felt like a rushed repeat of KotOR 2 (yes, I am aware that Obsidian made KotOR 2, but the lack of details felt reminiscent). There were more questions posed, from the invasion of the Cerberus base to the end of the game, than there were answers to questions we already had.

Beautifully said, I cant help but agree with the KotOR 2 reference too.

I never said they planned it....I said "IF" they planned it...

It had no relation to the tweet....I'm not even gonna begin speculating on the tweet

Im just referring to the people that come on the forums to b**** to no end about something that nobody knows anything about yet....nobody will know until Bioware announces it....

Everybody needs to relax til then

Yes I got you drift.

I was saying that I am not buying the “we planed that all along” .
Or if it is, it is a Pearl harbour type of advance planning.

I am afraid that this is the way of Board.
this is prety mild though, You have seen bullshido in its hay days.
but yes it is all speculations until we have some official news.

The people running the twitter feed are probably offsite, hourly workers who are not in the know for development plans. If you call up Apple customer support, the person on the other end is unlikely to know much more than you do about Apple's future devices. The @masseffect is mainly to receive feedback, release announcements, and answers questions that are common knowledge.

In other words: don't read too much into it.

I'm still trying to decide if it's better to think that the crew abandoned Shepard because they fell down a plot hole, or because the plot just railroads them into it. You can "clarify" why the ending seems to enjoy kicking Commander Shepard in the balls so much, but that won't make it hurt any less.

Because it's hard to deny some cues. I'm not an ardent ME fan (I wasn't upset by the ending at least, though I thought it was pretty wtf). A lot of people here seem to request communication but quickly dismiss the possibility of any solution that would leave them content. It's like some people want to admit that BioWare has no idea how to end the franchise at this point, even though that may not be true.

At this point I'm just upset with anything posted like that because it just reaffirms the fact that I paid $60 for an incomplete game.
