Oh boy.... The indoctrination theory isn't true, can we get off of that already? You guys are starting to sound like extremists going from door to door with pamphlets trying to convert people to your Indoc ideology. :P It. Was. Not. A. Dream

It was not a dream. It was fight inside shepards head. And neither side can say its true or false till bioware answers us. Till then I am content on sticking with IT and not forcing it on anyone

Can't wait how they explain it if your squad is shown dead with a pool of blood around them and ends up coming back to life unharmed.

3) We can't get 4000 - 5000 EMS on single player only. You said we could get the optimal ending.
Biowares answer -  'We did not lie'

If you're playing without importing a character from Mass Effect 2, then yeah, it's not possible.  But if you import a character from ME2, then it's absolutely possible.  I did it.  But then that particular ME2 character was imported from ME1.  So, yes, you can get 4,000 -5,000 EMS on single-player only.

Yeah, I imported and had almost a little over 5,000 by the end game. I then played multiplayer which doubled it to close to 11k. Bioware was dishonest about a lot of things, but this is totally possible. Still, arguably, if you have to import to be able to get 4k+, one could argue that while not an outright lie, it is still, again, dishonest.

So you got 5000 EMS(Effective Military Strength) on single player only? Are you sure you are not mixing up Total Military Strength with Effective Military strength?

I did import a character from ME1, ME2. I also have the CE. I did all the possible side missions and only managed 3700 EMS

Thanks

I imported  a character form ME1, ME2. I have the CE edition and I did every single side mission.
I only got 3700 EMS.
What EMS did you get?  and could you give a screen if poss of all the war ssets you got.
You are the first person I know that has managed to get over 4000EMS on single player.

ThanksImage IPB

There is a bug, I saw myself, where War Assets don't register. Cause my saves are just like yours, imports from me1 to me2 to me3.

Do you know if Bioware have acknowledged this?

Thanks

Does anyone else feel like the main criterion for the ending was "this is the state of affairs we need to create for our follow-up game"?

I gotta be honest with you, Sia...yes. That idea has indeed crossed my mind a few times.

Maybe the setting in a future game will be along the lines of some post-apocalyptic type of world/galaxy. Dystopian...*sighs*

I just.......I just wish that if that is indeed where they were going with it, they would have let us know.

Simply put

A PR schedule.

An announcement was scheduled for PAX about ME3 DLC and while the message may change (or may not) companies are netorious about PR rightly or wrongly.

In that case, Bioware should be afraid of a revolution!

In all seriousness, I've calmed down a little bit now, and I think we're reading waaaaay too much into these tweets.

Yep.

Why so much rage about a little piece of info that isn't even new? Jessica Merizan tweeted the very same thing before. Which makes me, an eternal optimist, believe they planned to elaborate and clarify the endings all along.

People who demand a "straight answer", make me smile. You seriously expect them to spoil their future content for you? Get real.

I didn't believe in the Indoc. Theory at all, but since I watched a video and there was those trees and bushes just like in the dreams, that were not in the original "run" scene, a little suspicious started to grow on me. I mean, they would NEVER add more content to the original scene, they would most likely just reuse the same level design again (DA2 anyone?).
I still think the Indoc Theory is a large stretch, probably a coincidence... But if Bioware really had it all planned from the beginning, I'll have to take my hat off... They surely didn't plan the huge backlash though.

At this point I'm just upset with anything posted like that because it just reaffirms the fact that I paid $60 for an incomplete game.

It's complete, just not in the conventional sense of complete.

The multiple endings, those that were most definitely not A, B, or C? It was just A all along, but some folks like to think that's good enough. And some other folk would call that a job well done.

And so it was, that we have received a "complete" game.

So what do you think? They will add some level/cutscenes explaining why squadmates are on Normandy?

Honestly, I'm gonna be mad if there's STILL no way to prevent at least one of the squadmates (the LI) from getting stranded on the jungle planet and separated from Shep ugh...

They're going to drop the reveal of DLC at pax, they have to. This is the best way they can assure they don't get the torches and pitchforks. Hopefully they'll give us a solution at least a majority can be satisfied with.

They said the reveal at PAX would be on a scale 1-10 would be over 9000. And they would announce something. They said they will "clarify" and give "closure" on the ending as well. Now this as well.

Hello Indoctrinaton Theory. And bye all rejecters, bet they feel god damn silly. Mindboggling good ending, and it'll be free.

Oh and btw, you can get 7000 EMS in SP, I don't understand how you can't. I've done it twice in a row now (7000 first, and 7300ish on the second one). People failing to get 5k + are just really really bad.

Where did they say it would be over 9000?
