So what do you think? They will add some level/cutscenes explaining why squadmates are on Normandy?

Same cryptic silliness as all along.  "no no really, it will all make sense!  You see..." and then a wall of text rationalizing why it's perfectly reasonable.  That would match this statement too.

Nothing I've heard makes me want to get my hopes up again.

So when they say they are going to "clarify" the ending does that mean they will show a clip of Joker picking up your squadmates while you bleed out on the Citadel?

Maybe they'll add a short textbox-epilogue, too. If they got enough spare-time due to the MASSIVE MULTIPLAYER-DLC comeing out soon?

I'm getting cynical again, sorry

Technically, he's still a problem for a lot of us because he comes out of no where - which led to frustrations because this five minute dialogue influences the whole outcome, compared to the whole trilogy impacting on the end.

He didn't actually. Prothen VI strongly impled this character

Didn't that VI just speculate?

Lets be honest here, the ending is a train wreck. The whole idea of a "explanation" DLC sounds bad, and doesn't solve the issue. It basically saying " We'll add some cut scenes an maybe people won't be so mad."

Now if they are either going with IT or adding new endings based on choices then, Bioware is listening to its customers.

I was never talking to you specifically.....not until you quoted me.....if you include yourself in the group of people I was referring to, well then so be it....if you're not part of that crowd, than what are we going back and forth for?

I only responded to your name calling. And that I couldn't understand what you were getting worked up about.

I think everyone needs to chill. Tweets like this have been coming since day one, and none have given any real info. We might get those answers later, but we need to not take every word they say as gospel.

So basically... another bit of info pointing towards the fact that the game itself is incomplete and will require dlc to make any kind of sense. Bioware... I am disappoint.

Does anyone else feel like the main criterion for the ending was "this is the state of affairs we need to create for our follow-up game"?

The new ending features a twelve year old Fred Savage lying in bed, with Peter Falk explaining what happened to the crew of the Normandy via flashback while reading from the book, "The Shepherd Commander."

People, please. Stay reasonable.

You are overgeneralizing with the constant "BioWare is disconnected from its fanbase" - but honestly, you cannot make that assumption because it's not proven true or untrue.

I do still have hope und confidence in the ME dev team that they are well aware of the situation and will address it properly. As pointed out by Stanley Woo and John Epler in another thread it's still a company with complex inner processes. It's just PR stuff until something definitive is announced in April - or not.

So please keep it calm and don't get personal to any devs or BW employees at all.

Prothean VI is a kind of character the audience believes in everything, even speculation. So yeah, it's enough to make the audience prepared for a potential "character who runs the show" appearing eventually.

Irony? Maybe you need to look that up in the dictionary....

I'm not looking for attention from you people.....I'm only stating what I think is right....you're the ones giving it attention because you don't like someone calling it the way it is.....whining about something you have no clue about, makes you a whiner.....

Haha

Whining about whiners doesn't make you better, you know.
It makes you the same.
You seek attention and whining at the same time.
Please. stop.

Speculation for EVERYONE! For the next 15 pages, then Chris Priestly will post in this thread saying something along the lines of,

"Don't read too much into it  " and everyone will deflate again. Don't say i didn't call it.

what don't they understand in the word "new" for "NEW ENDING"??! We don't want an explaination of this crappy lazy-ass ending, we want a brand new one!

Let me say this again:

You. Will. Not. Get. A. New. Ending.

You. Will. Not. Get. A. New. Ending.

You. Will. Not. Get. A. New. Ending.

Yow will not get ANY ending that removes what you saw on the screen from the game. Change its meaning? Maybe. Expand upon it? Definitely.

But not remove it.

Deal.

Everyone is just going to ignore this even though what you said is painfully obvious.

They're all going to disappoint themselves.

It's worse: They're going to rage against Bioware again claiming that they didn't get the new ending "they were promised."

In short, they are simply going to rewrite in their brain everything that was said about this.

I'm willing to meet them halfway. I don't need a new ending. I need some rationality in the current one.

Well, it's because of Vigil.  It was something we could relate to because we've had experience with a Prothean VI progam from ME1, so we were just re-living it, compared to seeing this "starchild" for 5 minutes.  That was the point I was trying to get across.

We'll see why and when Joker picks them up and why he tries to get away through the mass relay. However what interests me more is the problems I have with the starchild and the synthesis ending. I wonder how they explain that one.

The ending for me would be much better if all they did, was delete the damn Star Child. And just have it cut to a default destroy ending.

Looking at that tweet, could they be that smug if they were just referring to the 'clarification' they mentioned?

That will depend on:

- How much sense the explanation will have.
- How much sense the reason why the made us suffer for a month has.
- If they pretend that we pay extra money for getting the real ending.

They haven't confirmed anything. Its just hype. They should have answer at Pax.

Honestly, BW needs to just stop communicating if they can't give anything solid. Its this type vague hype that causes BSN to pick apart every word.

Let me be clear, I am not demading they communicate. I'm simply saying these tweets are causing more harm than good and that they may be better off being straight with us or just stop talking until they can. IMO
