All started with the end of Mass Effect 2. When you hear that ending theme trying to escape the collector base and Shepard runs hearing Harbinger in the background just gave me the chills.

I had a sense of accomplishment knowing I set out to do my objective and completed it. Nobody knew what the reprecussions would be, but in that moment it setup Mass Effect 3 for me.

My favorite moments continued on into Mass Effect 3 listening to the Illusive Man through his holograms. I was still in a moment of what is he going to do? How is it going to apply to Shepard, and what should I do?

My initial thought how the story would play out would be if you chose to save the Collector Base in Mass Effect 2, Cerberus and Illusive Man would be an unstoppable force you could eventually ally with for Human domiance or try to take down. What ended up him being implanted with Reaper Tech (wasn't sure if that was just put in there for people who hadn't read the comic book, I don't know) turned out to him being a Reaper tool all along.

If that was the end of how I thought the Illusive Man was going to be I'd like to know at one point was he able to control his own thoughts? Was it before the implanted reaper tech or after? I'm hoping after... but in the end it didn't matter... unless these DLC's they plan on adding clears it all up.

I think the two moments of excitement that resembled closely to the end of Mass Effect 2 was at the end of the Thessia mission where you start to piece the relation between Prothean's and Asari and after Kai Leng takes it all away you attack the Collector Base. From there, the story got confusing and never was resolved in the final battle and cutscenes.

So Bioware, if you happen to read this. I love you guys and wish you could clear it all up in either comics, books, DLC, tweaked finishes to ME3 or just more Mass Effect games!
