So in other words, it was *not* debunked... they've just been ambiguous.

There was an ending. Just because you didn't like it doesn't mean it's nonexistant. The reason they're releasing DLC is because people whined, not because the game was incomplete.

Actually, you can't have it both ways.

If IT is true, the only meaning of any kind of finished ending would be the Reapers took you over and won. There's no waking up or anything included after all.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "both ways."

Indoctrination Theory/ Reapers Winning and a complete ending are not mutually exclusive. I find it rather complete that the Reapers win. The other possibility is that Shepard resists indoctrination (hence waking up in the rubble in London at the end of the 'Destroy'). I believe that, too, is complete.

Now we can debate for hours on what makes a game complete, but I have little desire do so.

I just want to assert that controversial (or as some would say 'open to speculation') and incomplete are two different things.

Yeah, that's what I meant.

If IT were to be true and they (truthfully) claim this is the ending, then the only way to understand it would be total Reaper victory.

I wouldn't have a problem with that, but I don't think an American shareholder company like EA would wave such an ending through. In fact, I have a hard time imagining any entertainment company considering that a valuable solution to a series.

My point being, the "whining" about the ending, as you put it, stems from the impression of being witness to something unfinished and nonsensical.

My impression is, they had great plans, but money and/ or time contraints provided a rather rude reconnection with mother earth. And what we see is indeed something half finished that is now sold as artistic approach.

It was debunked at PAX East. They didn't just say its not true because they fear that the fans that believe in it will be as enraged as the rest of us. They said that they will let the fans interpret the ending in their own way and that they are going to let the content speak for iteslf, which is pretty much "its not true but we don't openly deny it".

So in other words, it was *not* debunked... they've just been ambiguous.

Plus if the IT is true, which it isn't, that would mean that they shiped the game without an ending which is ever worst than what we have now.

They did debunk it, but not with a simple "its not true" rather with "its not true but we will let you interpret it this way so you don't rage at us". Go watch the video from PAX, its blatantly obvious.
If you believe that IT is true and that is what they intended (which is not) then the game did not ship with an ending.
Reading comprehension, master it.

Nope, not blatantly obvious -sounds like wishful thinking from you so you can 'win' an online forum argument.

Your condescendion does nothing to further your case either. Try again

why someone would claim a game is awesome in the first hour I have no clue --- one shouldn't do that with any game.

I see how a Reaper win is complete -- the Kilrathi win ending of WC3 was complete too.

But if Shepard wakes up in the rubble.... then what? What happens with the Crucible, with the battle, any of it? What definition of "complete" are you using here?

one day people will be so good at programming and computers will be so advanced that we will be able to decrtypt the game code and rewrite the ending using just the power of thought. I am really envious of my future great great great great great grandchildren.

I see a movie...  1hr in I think the movie is amazing.... but, I can't??

end aside, Mass Effect 3 is brilliant... infact, even though I have finished it, I'm doing a second playthrough..

I've got no intention of getting to the end just yet.... I'm only 1hr in!!

You will enjoy 99% of the game and then when you reach Marauder shields - let him release you from future suffering - really is the best way

I'm sure I'll enjoy it all..... I've played some shocking games in the past....some with some absolute s**t endings...

I've not read any reviews about ME3, or seen any vids about it....

Don't let these guys try to create the expectation that you won't like the ending.   Just enjoy the game and draw your own conclusion.  IMO, it was a great ride all the way!  The ending I got was really good.  Game on!

First off, I was like WTF??? Then, I read and saw a vid about Shep possibly being Indoctrinated, and, to me, it made a alot of sense (If Shep is Indoctrinated.)

I had the same reaction as you.
IT does make some sense out of the ending however, there are alot of theories/speculations out there and there isn't enough evidence to support that any one of them is 100% true.Hopefully this EC dlc will help clarify things.

I'm quite happy to wait for EC :)

I've just re-started a playthrough on Mass Effect 1 as a Sentinal class ( a class I've never used before!)
