No it isn't.  There is a logical reason that the polls on the ending ALWAYS slamdunk to the negative.  Because the vast majority HATE it.

You even have lurkers coming out of the woodwork ONLY because of the ending and the taste of bile that remains in their mouths as a result.  Have you ever tried to ignore the taste of bile in your mouth from a bit-o-vomit?  Can't do it!  It DEMANDS attention and focus.

Allowing that to be the end still means your assets didn't matter, they were replaced by generic forces that suck to the highest level possible, and that your choices didn't matter, and that continuity dies.

I've given fair warning to my sister and my father about the ending without spelling it out (just like we are not spelling it out here).  I am debating whether to tell them to stop at Marauder Shields or move forward.  I think your option may be OK...I tell them to stop there and go to this link on youtube for a PROPER ending they will like:    (There's a better one of similar vein out there but I haven't re-found it yet).

HAH....so the BEST you can get is 75% against the game:25% FOR the game.  

That poll is totally different in any case - it is about the overall game itself.  I agree that the overall game is good (as do MOST people) all the way up to 10 minutes from the end.  Then?  Shot to hell.

Yes!  Stunned disbelief is a good source of "WOW!" too.

I was pointing out how stupid it is to place any weight in silly BSN polls. And how people who rely on them must be rather insecure about their opinion ... "I don't like this, so I have to validate that feeling by making sure I tell everyone else how much I'm in a majority in not liking it!". Rather needy.

Point is, some people like it. So stop trying to tell people who haven't played the game yet that they're going to hate it. You don't get to decide that for them.

We are not, and objectively/factually CANNOT decide for him.  We DO know how it is LIKELY to play out.  The stats are clear.  

No one is deciding FOR him, he is going to do that himself.  He may be one of the minority and actually decide he's cool with...that thing that dangles at the end.  At 4:1 against (best case) or 9:1 against (normal) I know where I'd BET he falls.
