I know. This thread could have gone either way.

Yes.  We cannot avoid, ultimately, the ending.  The end comes for all of us.

We were so young and naive once.

Rhetorical. It serves no function other than serving some weird insecure need for the people who hate the ending to try and ensure everyone thinks the same as them.

OP: Don't worry about the others, play the game and decide for yourself how you feel. You can always join one of the cabals later. :bandit:

You're the one that createed A THREAD to point out some people withdrew money from the Retake Mass Effect charity.

And said "Oh Snap!" in the snarky thread with the Charlie and The Chocolate Factory clip.

We are having a great deal of fun (in a sick way) with each other.  I'm actually getting a laugh at some of the comment.  Joy in despair.  OP is (likely) an adult fully capable of handling real life.

Welcome to real life.  We have game/cartoon avatars but we are real life behind it!

I also KNOW my father and sister.  They have been warned, but not spoiled.  I provided them a link to an ending they WOULD like (I KNOW them) with the warning that it is not to be viewed until Doomsday.  They'll know.  I did this out of compassion for them.  I did this to try and help them retain the love and joy they have obtained playing and replaying this series.  I do it FOR THEM.

I was pointing out how stupid it is to place any weight in silly BSN polls. And how people who rely on them must be rather insecure about their opinion ... "I don't like this, so I have to validate that feeling by making sure I tell everyone else how much I'm in a majority in not liking it!". Rather needy.

Point is, some people like it. So stop trying to tell people who haven't played the game yet that they're going to hate it. You don't get to decide that for them.

If only 2% of the people that voted in biggest poll are fine with the endings, I don't see those people as "some", more like insignificant. And no polls are not silly, if almost everyone on BSN voted in that poll and judging by the result, there is definitely a point that you can not argue against. Plus by lowering the expectations of these guys that have yet to finish the game, they are not going into the ending with the same expectations as we did, so in the long run we are kinda doing them a favor.

And how does the likers' "insignificant" amount make their opinion any less valid?

You will enjoy 99% of the game and then when you reach Marauder shields - let him release you from future suffering - really is the best way

I'm sure I'll enjoy it all..... I've played some shocking games in the past....some with some absolute s**t endings...

I've not read any reviews about ME3, or seen any vids about it....

You'll be surprised...

Oh, everyone can have an opinion, even an incorrect, utterly WRONG, and indefensible opinion.  That is fine.  It is NOT the basis, however, for a business to build upon.  Quite the opposite in fact.  Bioware is a business, so it DOES matter how the stats fall out.

Oh...

That tic in your avatar?  I have that.  I got that tic after experiencing the end of ME3.

I suspect many have that tic.  Perhaps you have it too and somehow feel it is "normal" and "OK".

IT IS NOT.

Remember when we had hope? Remember when you didn't know about the ending, that magical time while playing ME3 when you thought "oh, that Internet, I'm sure the ending isn't THAT bad"? Alas, so do I. ::sheds a single tear in the manner of a 1970s anti-pollution ad featuring a stereotypical Native American::

It does because all I see from them is "We are fine with the ending, you are all whiners!", nothing to clarify or back up why they like it. But its fine since there is no possible way to justify this ending.

We need more people that liked the ending as-is to vote in this poll:

http://social.biowar...06/polls/28989/

It's waaay too lopsided.

No it isn't.  There is a logical reason that the polls on the ending ALWAYS slamdunk to the negative.  Because the vast majority HATE it.

And despite that, a quarter of people asked the question "Were you satisfied with Mass Effect 3?" answered yes in one of those silly polls.

People who continuously post BSN polls as if they prove any kind of a point come off as rather insecure.

HAH....so the BEST you can get is 75% against the game:25% FOR the game.

That poll is totally different in any case - it is about the overall game itself.  I agree that the overall game is good (as do MOST people) all the way up to 10 minutes from the end.  Then?  Shot to hell. :pinched:

React to people telling you you're in the minority.

Accuse those people of insecurity.

There is plenty of reasonable clarification why people liked it, as there is for why people disliked it.

And yet you decide one side doesn't matter, because you haven't looked hard enough. I see plenty of horrible behaviour from some people of the new ending/clarification movement but I do not generalise them after these individuals.

Please PM me some, since I have yet to see one that proves a valid point and creates an argument about why the ending is fine.

We can all take comfort in each other...like people in an AA meeting or at a group session thing after some horrible disaster (and we have experienced a horrible disaster haven't we?). We all collect together in these forums and put a virtual arm around the other's shoulder, or give each other a chuck on the shoulder to say, "Buck up little camper". We take comfort in knowing, in KNOWING, we are not alone in our despair at the DISASTROUS ending to a beloved series.

Not alone like those poor bastards who liked the ending (?!) So lonely. So alone. Pity them! Feel compassion! Hide your incredulity.
