Why are you saying to not go till the end? Why not let him play through the game and then he will share his thought about the game.

I know...

It's funny considering I was told the same stuff before finishing myself and if I had actually gone with that advice I would've missed out on an ending I actually liked (nay, loved... yeah, there I said it). So yeah, how about you let people judge on their own?

Agreed.

I am one of those gamers who's gaming experience is not ruined by an ending, if its great, then hey awesome, if its not, well my experience isn't dramatically affected.

The ending can totally ruin the series for a person. And I will explain how with an extended metaphor.

Let's say that you decide to spend the day taking a nice walk in the park. I t is a beautiful say outside, and you meet and talk with many interesting people. All in all, you've had a pretty good day. As you turn around to head home however, you trip and fall face-first into a pile of dog feces. Suddenly, the only thing that you can think about, the only thing that matters, is the still-warm covering of dog feces plastered to your shocked face. When you look back on this day, you will not remember the nice weather, or the nice people you talked to, you will only remeber the dog feces. A chunky, glistening spectre will haunt your every waking moment and deny you any reprieve from this hellish existence you find your self in.

Now I don't care if you liked the ending, or didn't think that it ruined the whole series, but it sure ruined mine. For ME, that ending was dog feces. Dog feces to the face.

to be fair the OP should obviously finish the game and decide for himself - I mean the fact that over 90% dislike the ending does suggest about 9% did like it, and he may fall into that minority...

You should say "Like ALMOST everyone..."

Or, "Like a loud majority here on BSN..." Since I have yet to meet any real life friends who hated the endings, moreover, most of the people I play online with say they enjoyed the endings.

Almost all anecdotal evidence I've read indicates that the friends don't like the ending either. It's been the same with every country too.

Not too many people believe we're the minority anymore - except the minority here that liked the ending. Go figure.

Same reason they can't go into a "What did you like.... /What ending is your fave... ?" Or even the Operation discussion thread without bringing up how much they hate the endings. It's annoying but all any of us can do is hope whatever BW has in store for explanations pleases them so we can all freaking move on and be able to talk about something we like without it being derailed into "I hate the endings" thread.

There are ALWAYS stragglers.  Always.  Some clown lagging behind the rest, just HAVING to be contrary because...it's just what they do.  Doesn't have to have any rhyme or reason (in this case "reason" is WAY WAY out of the question), it just happens.

Just because someone disagrees with you doesn't mean they're stragglers or clowns or hipsters - or unreasonable. Some people are rational beings who like the ending because they like the ending- instead of liking the ending to disagree with others or showing how different they are.

Get over it

THERE ARE NO SPOILERS!

He already KNEW about the controversy and has not actually read or viewed the vids (oh the many many many vids and words written).  He already knows and we are NOT spelling anything out.

We are merely letting him know that we are here to catch him when he falls.  He isn't alone and does NOT have to endure all alone when the end finally comes.

Now then...Maruader Shields...THIS is a great bit of fan art (the spelling errors and grammar problems are particularly apropo under the circumstances)...and...Laggy as Hell!

Indeed.  If he is even still about he will decide for himself/herself REGARDLESS of what we say.

No you misunderstand.  I use the word "reason" in its direct meaning.  You know, "If A = B and B = C, then A = C"  THAT sort of reason and logic.  That sort of reason is TOTALLY lacking in the ending, and thus, reason CANNOT come into it.  See?  I'm not talking about subjective stuff like, "I liked the color I chose" or "I like dark for dark's sake" or "It reminds me of a cool dream I had once when I was both drunk AND high-fevered!"  Sure, those are "reasons" for you to like it but they are not reason-able.  They do not have within them A=B, B=C, thus A=C logic (at all).  Get the diff?

Funny thing is, I made a thread just like yours a few hours into the game. People were starting to rage on the forums about the endings and I didn't take them seriously. Then I finished the game. After that I started playing a great game called Hold the line. I'm not done with it though but I sure hope it ends better than ME3.

Not really understanding your post past the potential condescension.

I thought the ending was reasonable. You didn't. Using meaningless equations to illustrate the transitive property is all well and good, but I don't quite see how that furthers your claim that the ending is necessarily illogical aside from a purely opnionated standpoint.

Except for the part where most of it does, and you just don't want to accept it.
