I also do NOT believe you "studied" this stuff at all.  Maybe you took it as an elective and passed but study?  Nah.

A teacher or professor would FLUNK the person who wrote the ME story that ended the way it did.  That is an F on the college level because it really ends without an ending.  It is NOT an ending to any story.  It is a superhighway that suddenly ends as railroad tracks that themselves come to an abrupt end after a single run.  Makes NO sense and doesn't go together.

Entire core module in second year on Genre in Television and Film, thanks. Probably why I find his nonsensical attempt at defining genre so insulting, but there you go.

Anyway, read and respond to this and I'll consider your video in full. A bit of two-way traffic for a change.

All of it is garbage and is just making 100% assumptions.  Why even bother reading a book or playing a game if you are just going to make it all up in your head.

While I'm fine with IT I am not hardcore IT.  I think it would be a cool interesting twist but nothing more than that.  I believe that some of the straws people are grasping at are simply effects left over from when indoctrination was going to be an ending that got cut (according to Mass Effect Final Hours app) much in the same way all of the Dark Energy stuff was in the story that Karpyshyn was originally writing.

With that said, the videos like that one linked as well as countless others have mentioned.  The story doesn't follow the basics of literature and takes a complete nose-dive in the final few minutes of the game and this has pretty much destroyed the entire series for many people.

I being one of those people, have absoltuly no urge to ever install or play the other games again until we are given some sort of coherent ending.   I am not alone on this matter either.

They tried to pull some sort of crazy ass tarantino art **** in the final 10 minutes to try and get people to think but instead they were drving their franchise off a cliff.

I do not disagree that the endings lack in logic. But warrant condescension it does not. Perhaps Bioware would be more forthcoming if there wasn't so much hostility, hidden or obvious, in the forums.

Wait, what?

I've read the leaks, the descriptions and the arguments. I thought it would be a welcome sight to dislike the endings even before experiencing them directly, seeing what is going on in various threads.

First, you have the worst/ugliest avatar ever.  Looks like a tranny mid-vinegar strokes.

Second, Bioware isn't a 15 year old child.  They are a business.  They don't choose to not release endings because someone on the forums hurt their feelings.

Okay.

Quite a few people have complained about Bioware not answering their questions or being too passive about this whole issue, Stanley Woo said the vitriol going around complicates things. This is what I meant, I do not expect them to with-hold all future plans because of the whining. Things would just be easier otherwise.

Businesses don't release information before they have information to release (with the exception of hollywood who does it all the time).

They have come out and said they are doing something with the ending but they haven't come out and said exactly what because whatever it is is probably still in the planning stages and they have no information that they want to release because if they release information and for some reason it doesn't make it into whatever DLC/patch it will go into will just be more reason for fans to **** if the don't get exactly what they want.

It is a no-win sitaution for them at the moment and its going to be even worse if they release information prematurely.

Well it's kinda silly to even imagine that because there is ever so few who LIKE the ending.  One in ten?  Ten in a hundred?

And that makes them deserving of comments like "Did you even play the whole series?", condescending jokes, or insults towards intelligence how exactly?

Being a minority does not lessen the validity. And there are better ways to discuss the likes and dislikes.

Well, I'll admit I'm a condecending ahole who thinks most if not all people who enjoy the ending either do not use their critical faculties properly or simply turn them off and bob their head along, without thinking. Mostly those two are similar but it's the conclusion I've come to, with no qualms about "playing nice".  There are plenty of people that do enough of that irl, I see no reason why they wouldn't do it for a game then come on here and go "zomg it wuz gr8t".

Hearing of the endings I was still somewhat optimistic and then experiencing them.

They built up all that emotion in you and then with a spark, that emotion twisted into a monster and then it turned into a rage monster a green one in fact like the hulk that or ifyou prefer one pissed off Krogan that somebody just kicked in the daddy bags.

Playing with peoples emotions is not cool.... not cool at all.

You will enjoy 99% of the game and then when you reach Marauder shields - let him release you from future suffering - really is the best way

I'm sure I'll enjoy it all..... I've played some shocking games in the past....some with some absolute s**t endings...

I've not read any reviews about ME3, or seen any vids about it....

This made me laugh so hard.

My friend, you have no idea what comes next.

I too have played many game.  So, so many with great endings and terrible endings and everything in between.

I too heard about the fan outcry about the ending before I played it.  That the ending was bad.  That it didn't fulfill its promises.  I admit I was worried.

But when I got the game in my hands all those worries disapeared.

It was better than the demo.  Better then the first two.  Better than real life at times.

The game is so so so so so good.  I thought no ending could be so bad that it ruins the game, much less the franchise.

I was wrong.

Finish the game, then we'll talk.

Bro, I too was in your situation! Someone told me that the ending was really unsatisfying, they told me not to go into the ending with high expectations, but I just shrugged that advice off. Because the first 99% of the game is SO amazing that I thought no ending to ruin it. Wow. You spoke what was in my mind.

The ending was just another version of "The Evil Dead 2":  I'll swallow your soul! I'll swallow your soul!

I feel so empty without my soul.  :(

No it wasn't and there is zero argument to back up your statement. Its just bad and undefendable. But he should finish the game and make his own conclusion, don't tell him not to.

While I personally found the ending to be garbage, one can almost never call an opinion "undefendable".  I'd be interested to know what arial liked about it (not here as there should be no spoilers).

We all know why some people like the ending:

"I LIEK IT CUZZ BIOWAREZ MADE IT STFU ALL HATERZ LOLOL XxxXDDDXXDD!!!!"

Dont kid urself

Yeah, read it.  Not impressed, particularly since it is heavily based on the holy of holies, Indoctrination Theory.  In any case, the video I directed you to that you refuse to watch barely even goes over that list of "logical" arguments (that aren't really logical...they virtually ALL depend on non-visable, non-viewed supposition...plus barely ANY of the listed logical arguments were what I had much issue with...there were much larger problems than nitnoid continuity issues).

Any argument that is based on things not in evidence but merely supposed (moving rooms, platforms, bridges, indoctrination, etc) can be thrown out without thought.  They aren't there.
