Having the same issue for the first time since DA:O launched. Definantly not a port issue in my case, it has to be something on Bioware's side that hopefully they'll fix soon.

Something's wrong at Bioware's end I think.
I better error message than "currently not connected to the internet" would be nice, since it's so obviously incorrect.

Getting the same problem for the last 2 hours now myself and tried the port fix thing which hasn't helped at all. They must have brought down the server or something that we're connecting to cause I obviously have internet if I'm posting here. Hopefully they'll fix this soon and if they don't I'll call them up or something and find out what the heck is going on (especially since I even tried a uninstall and reinstall which means I now have to download all my DLC again).

Windows XP SP3, behind a router and done everything in the troubleshooting dlc support pages and this thread. Nothing.. Internet connection is working, all DA services I have should have complete access.. Still.. No internet for DLC:s... Yeah... Quite pissed at EA and their drm.
Problem is that the game has worked fine previously...

it happend to me about 2 hrs or less ago... one minute i'm playing and everythings peachy.... the next while i'm in game a message pops up about not being connected to the internet. I tried to reconnect in the main menu and got the well recognised 'you are currently not connected to the internet' crap. This initiated a crusade i've been fighting for the last 2 hrs... anyone found anything useful??? None of the above sh*t (portforwarding, netsh, turning of firewall etc) has worked for me.

Well, thankfully it's not just me having the same problem. I rarely buy games these days as I don't have the time... but when I do, I get screwed by copy protection which doesn't even prevent pirates from doing what they do. Bioware, hurry up and get the servers working again.

I'm thinking they brought the serverrs down for maintance but the problem is they have not posted a announcement or anytihng and have no special message to appear in the game saying so. which if they did one of these it would be EVER SO HELPFUL. Great job Bioware I really hope your better about this crap with your new MMO Star Wars the Old Republic cause if not alot of people will be Way more upset than we are with this.

Dear god... Bios, when you are planning a connection downtime, at least have the courtesy to tell us about it.
Right now, DA keeps saying I am not connected(and won't let me) and the profile diagnosis shows the "invalid persona" error message.

This ^
It is very very very frustrating for them to have such a silly and stupid way of the game informing you of this (none) and then still not having any other way of seeing it elsewhere. Remarkably annoying.

I'm trying to sort out the port issue to see how it goes as I'm having the same problem, trouble is I haven't got a clue

Funny how many people who "haven't got a clue" are dealing with firewall internals. Putting the PC in a DMZ or opening ports is at best unnecessary and at worst actively harmful.
Hint: DA servers do not need to contact your PC (i.e. initiate a connection with it) since they don't even know your IP. And blocking outbound connections is useless anyway.

Yeah, I'm having the same problem. It's just telling me I'm logged out and not letting me click the Log In button because I'm "not currently connected to the internet". I've got all my DLC items and quests so..I don't really like that I'm not logged in, but that seems to be the only problem.

Same problem here. Even with firewalls switched off, the game doesn't connect.
Hope it will get fixed soon...

Is there anyway to check the status of the server? Surely you'd think it'd be posted somewhere?

Issue seems to be resolved now. I did not change anything. I guess "scheduled" maintanance was the issue here

Same problem, hope the'll restart the server soon. Maybe ask them in livechat?

Just got my DA:O Ultimate edition in the post today and was getting ready to play it when I'm getting the error mentioned here. After forwarding ports and changing settings, I'm still unable to log in.
Is anyone else able to log in currently?

I am getting this problem now, too. I hope it is only temporary and due to Bioware servers, because I've tried enabling the ports stated in the first port and that doesn't make any difference (and of course, I am connected to the internet right now!)

Something's wrong with Bioware's server probably because I'm also having this issue. I want to finish up Witch Hunt but I can't >_<

Thanks Xansus
At least I see I am not the only one having this problem. That makes me confident that the problem lies on Bioware servers and will get solved soon
