Come to think of it the server did kick me off 2 nights ago twice. I never have connection issues, I stayed connected to xbox live and I always have an open NAT (easy thing to fix). And I use a wired connection straight to modem, no middle man (or router).
There are no servers.
This is Peer to Peer (P2P) gaming, just like how multiplayer used to be before servers and how it is on games like MW2/3 PC and most console game multiplayer.
It's appropriate for this game's multiplayer, but completely ridiculous in FPS multiplayer on PC.
You were either kicked before the game began by the other players, or you simply lost connection to the host, which is different to connecting to Live or PSN.
They have servers because they need them. When gaming, you're connecting to whichever player is "Leader" AKA Host.
The only other server involved is the EA server, which again you're only "kicked" if you're having connection issues to that server, or it's gone down for maintenance.

I didn't say I got disconnect from the game, It said I was disconnected from EA and it could not re-establish a connection to the EA server. And I was not kicked either, being a level 16 Asari adept with an assult riffle hardly constitutes anyone to kick you on silver especially when I didn't have any "X" marks when we started. Assumptions are bad for your health. Everything was working fine I just wasn't doing any damage.

You didn't say you were disconnected from the EA server. You just said "the server".
Plenty of people who still call the host of a game a server, thinking that they're playing on servers.
You also said "the server" kicked you twice in one night. It doesn't kick you, you lose connection with it.
You say you never have connection issues, which is itself an assumption on your part.
As I said, the EA server only disconnects you if you are having issues connecting to or staying connected to it, or it's going down for maintenance.
Clearly, you did have issues connecting to it if it "kicked" you twice in one night.
Whether the cause of the connection problem is your end or the EA server, that's a seperate matter.
As for the no damage issue that you were originally talking about, it's not uncommon.
The simplest explanation is a sync issue between you and the host. I've had it happen twice.
Most recent was when connected to the host somewhere in the US, and spent the fourth round being unable to do any damage, revive or be killed. Half way through round 5 it stopped happening. Turns out I'd been killed by a Geth Hunter from the previous round, because there weren't any Hunters in the fifth round. Sync issue.
