does this work if I already started a game and have not reached that point yet? or does it have to be through a completed me3 save import?
Thanks Repliku
I edited an existing save I had right before that point, and it worked fine... so I expect you could do a fresh ME2 import, then a save and edit that, and it would probably work fine.
The one thing we (or at least *I*) don't know is if changing that bool value will have unintended knockoff effects later on.
I can assure you that changing this value won't have any further effects dialogue wise. It's only used once
I did what you exactly mentioned and everytime i open the the saved game again i find it reseted back to False.

Too bad consoles are out of luck for this fix
I'm not so sure consoles are out. Gibbed has the ability to edit xbox saves, it just takes more work on your part. You have to transfer your profile over to a flash drive, then use your PC and gibbed to do the edit, then "repackage" your xbox profile save using gibbed.
I don't have a link to the exact process but I am sure if you ask around, you will find it.

I'm on PS3 though, pretty sure Gibbed doesn't work for that

It's just one line. Helps in terms of immersion though.

Is the dialogue any different for male Shepard, or is it the same line(s)?
The conversation doesn't differ if you're male or female. Completely the same.

I fixed my 360 save. Put your save on a pen drive, open with Modio on a PC, extract the save file, edit with gibbed, replace old save with the modified one, move back on to your console (This thread may be helpful). Worked first time for me.
I done this last night with my 360 save, it was really simple. Took around five minutes altogether to correct the mistake and I felt better for it when the scene triggered correctly, little irregularities like this bug annoy me.
A shame that the time capsule scene still has her calling you a friend, I thought it might be another bug...

The USB drive I have has nearly 5 GB of space available but when I plug it into the Xbox... it doesn't even recognize it or show it on the memory screen. Am I doing something wrong?
From what I remember the drive needs to be formatted for use on 360. I have a pen drive I use specifically my xbox, so unless you have a spare lying around you'll have to copy your data somewhere safe, format the drive, fix the save, reformat for PC and copy your data back.

Anybody know if there's a way PS3 players can have this bug fixed? It really messed with immersion when Liara said it had been years since she and Shep were together, when I most definitely played LotSB and reaffirmed ther relationship there...
Not sure, it depends if gibbed supports PS3 saves (which it didn't for ME2).

I'm afraid that there's no way to fix this bug for PS3, unless BioWare patches it. Savegame editing isn't possible on PS3 afaik, something with the encryption of the save files or so.

So I figured. Guess I'll have to retcon that scene in my head

First of all: Sorry for my bad english - it isn't my native language...
I have the same issue with Liara talking to me like we met years instead month ago. A few minutes ago i stumbled over this thread und an information on Pastebin.com. In the savegame editor, the bools 6941 and 7035 are false and in MassEffect 2 -> Romance "Liara toured the Normandy in ..." is not ticked.
In another thread I read, that in the last conversation between Liara and Shepard, she mentions the blue kids and the two are kissing while they are "merging"...
So my questions are:
1) Do I have to set both bools to true? Or is it enough to set 6941 true?
2) Do I have to tick the "Liara toured the Normandy..."?
3) Since ME1 I was faithful/loyal to her and never had any other LIs. In my last conversation with her, she did not mention the blue kids and she put her head on my shoulder instead of kissing me. Is it possible that by changing the both bools, she will mention the kids and kiss me? Or have I done something wrong?
I hope you can help me - in the german forum they were not able to help me...
Best regards,
clarctos

Thanks for your quick answer.
1) Okay, I'll try it - since it worked with the other, it will work with me.
2) Thanks ;-)
3) 6027 is true. Have you found out, whether that 7035 is necessary?
Thanks a lot!

Danke,
clarctos

Do you think they'll make a patch for it in the future?
Maybe, but it's a very low priority according to a developer.

What are the numbers that need to be changed? I got 6941 but what are the other two?
What other two? To get the right line you only need 6941.
