We must hold Bioware to a higher standard then they hold themselves.
We must stay strong together.
The bigger and stronger we are, the harder we are to ignore and push away.
We must hold the line.

Folks,
I don't represent whether or not EA funds us for any DLC content. EA supports us, don't worry about that. I help to manage some of that budget, yes, but my primary goal is to work with Casey (the executive producer) and the other creative visionaries around BioWare and create something we are proud of.
I can understand how Producers get a bad reputation sometimes - but most of us care passionately about the product we are putting out. Of course, having a financially successful game is important - but making something we are proud of, and something that's a very high quality is even more important to me.
More soon...And see, we still do read the forums
MOST?
So who DOESN'T?
There are a few in the film industry who are really only in it for the money. This is obviously not Mr. Gamble's problem. I worked on a commercial for DOW Chemical once and all the producer was interested in was cutting costs and doing things his way. Needless to say it didn't set a good precedent in my head. Please remember that quite a few do but the stories about the select few often override the stories of the good ones.

I think I either was misunderstood or misunderstood something myself.
I was under the impression he was relating it to some in his company cared about the game and some didn't, that's why I was trying to figure out WHO DIDN'T CARE.

I think everyone at Bioware loves their product very much, which is why it is very hard for them to look at it and see it's flaws. It isn't something to get mad at them for.

Casey Hudson and Mike Gamble lied about the game, made numerous promises, and then lied some more and then have yet to even apologize for any of that.
It is very much their fault until they do so.

Lie means something very different from rushed. Trust me. This kind of thing happens in films all the time. Directors say X and it isn't included for time constraints. The result of this in Mass Effect was disastrous however and broke the game. They need to fix it to save the very life of their IP.
I'd settle for them admitting it and apologizing.

I sympathize with Bioware very much but I cannot condone alienating sixty thousand people. Art should bring people together rather than split them apart. Even the most depressing film in the world should have positive repurcussions for the audience. Mass Effect does not. I know personally that editing a film can save it and adding new things is one of the solutions.

That's what the ending does, it shows how assets didn't matter, how your forces and fleets were replaced by generic versions that didn't even follow established canon in the game, nor have appropriate technology, it showed how your choices all ended at the same result, it showed how continuity was thrown out the window and it opened up plotholes all around. It then threw the terrible colors at you.

This game is like a coconut cluster with a caramel topping but a swirl of feces throughout the entirety of its innards. It touches everything but until you get to the concentration of feces when the chocolate and coconut and caramel aren't enough to overpower the feces taste, you realize how it was throughout the entirety and it touched everything.

Negtivity is unproductive. We want a better ending, but don't be a jerk about it. Insulting them is not going to get us anywhere. And if you think nothing is going to get us anywhere and that they won't change anything, why are you posting at all?
EDIT: And in regards to the "promises" made before launch. Lying implies intent. They very well may have said those things about having many endings and our choices mattering fully believing they were going to deliver. We have no idea what happened during development, so don't assume they were lying when they might have just been misinformed or possibly overly optimistic.

They said them after the game WENT GOLD.
That means that it was done, it just wasn't for sale yet, they knew what it was.
And it's not an insult to be blunt or honest.

Everything that they will say at PAX will be given to them ahead of time by the PR department, including blanket statements to cover any questions with generic answers. Don't forget they'll probably have friends from all the paid off review sites planted in the audience.
Yeah no good news will be coming out of PAX. Any news that looks good will be PR spin. We have not held the line long enough to force Bioware to make new endings. Please continue holding the line no matter what happens at PAX so we can get new endings.

We don't know that. There is no information to suggest anything. Previous examples have left my hopes in the gutter but you don't send a producer to a thread about producers for PR. It doesn't work that way.

As long as people stay cool and remain civil the chance of PAX ending with something less horrible then what we experienced increase
People also need to understand that you don't ever send a producer to make PR statements. If this was indeed the case, they really mucked up.

this is our great chance to defeat them. anyone at pax is our great hope at finishing the war we must not surrender and HOLD THE LINE!
People need to understand that the silence now is because they are still brainstorming about what to do. Any leak of information could be disastrous. We must remember that Dr. Muzyka said that changes were going to be made well over a week ago. Judging by the backlash, they now know that that won't be enough. Give them time.
