Can't help you very much other than guide you to someone who might.

Sorry to get you to edit again, OP, but maybe noting whether people are on European/American time might be helpful?
When I brave Gold I will definitely be looking for help here.

Maybe description for mentors? Some people might be experienced with Snipers while barely touched Vanguards..
Ok, I'll try doing that. I can add some short remarks under each name on the list, what do you think?

It may be difficult since not everyone specified their locations, but I can try to combine what was given with remarks mentioned above. I can always change the layout later if need be.

Playstyle: I prefer to use guerilla tactics. Fast, hit and run fire movements. No matter what class I play I'm always on the move so I can't help with someone who likes to just bunker down in one spot and draw things in. Although it is very tempting on Gold.
Proficient classes: All except new classes. I haven't unlocked them all and am still figuring out their playstyles. Also, I personally don't really like the human Adept and Krogan Sentinel.
Weapons Proficiencies: Varied. I work best with ARs, SRs, Pistols and the occasional shotgun. Don't like the SMGs so I can't help anyone there.
Map Knowledge: As with the classes, I'm still finding my way around the new maps. Like I said, my playstyle is very movement intensive so I gotta know the maps almost perfectly.
Feel free to hit me up whenever I'm online. I can do text or voice chat, although I prefer to use Skype for voice chats. I also don't normally do Gold runs unless I'm with friends who already know what to do. I'm too lazy to coordinate a PUG.
One last thing. Sometimes I come online when I'm ****** drunk, high or sompletely stoned. So if you do find me in such a state, you might want to contact me another time.

Eastern America, Eastern Standard Time or GTM-5. I'm going to guess you're in Europe, but I'll say if you're looking for your first Gold session and on PC, you can always add me.

I like the way to think. Personally, I'll either try to stay at mid range or get in close for grab or melee (non-guerilla tactics, not really the best game to imo

Like, I'm best with Turian Sentinel but I unlocked Krogan Battlemaster last night and I really, really want to get good with this guy. So far, I've been decent, consistently get 2nd or 3rd on Silver and very rarely go down if ever, but I feel like I could be doing better, as the claymore I doesn't seem to do enough damage for my liking and on the occasion that I miss, I've just wasted everyone's time.
Do I kill a lot of troops and mook units? Yeah. Do I distract bosses and wear them down with shotgun and occasional melee? Definitely. But I have this feeling that I could be doing better.
I don't have the geth shotgun unlocked yet and I'm not a fan of the graal, so I've been using Eviscerator when not Claymore, and... Well, yeah, I've been doing okay, but I would like to know if I could be doing better.
My origin ID right now is Urdnot_Flex, and my timezone is CST
When I'm at a satisfactory level... I have a voice modulator that can give me a pretty legit krogan voice, and before I drop into games playing as a krogan, with the ID Urdnot Flex, and doing a stupid krogan voice on top of all that, I want to make sure that I won't be embarrassing myself with poor gameplay.

I guess I have a few questions. Namely, how seriously should we take our point totals and ranking in a match?
A lot of people take that into consideration as well as for bragging. From what I understand, it could mean the different between you playing on the next gold match or getting kicked. Similarly, the N7 rating.
Although I do look at my score a lot, I'm going to say that with a great biotic pair, one of them could easily be under rated on the scoreboard. A team with only one adept can still find the adept to be underscored, despite the fact that they have been throwing stasis, pull, or singularity. The Asari Justicar has an ability called Biotic Sphere, I believe, which can be built defensively.
There's also Engineers. Combat Drones and Decoy will distract enemies, and as far as I'm concerned it's their primary purpose. A Combat Drone can force bunkered enemies out of cover, or avert the attention of a guardian and allow other players to strike. Decoy will lure enemies, diverting fire away from allies. I have little experience with turrets, but I imagine they can hold off enemies for some time, guarding chokepoints. Geth turrets can be upgraded defensively, providing allies with a shield recharger. You won't be getting many points for preventing your allies death or distracting the enemies and grant the sniper a free shot.
What matters is if you can get through a match. Ideally, with as few deaths as possible.

Who wouldn't want to be great with a Krogan Battlemaster? It's a Krogan Battlemaster! It's awesome!
With a Krogan Battlemaster, your focus is aggression. It goes for other Krogans, it goes for other Vanguards. Having said that, it's very easy for someone to die. Generally speaking, and theorizing everything else is equal, the aggressor will have the disadvantage. Though the Battlemaster will excell in aggression, I'll say you need to be cautious. I generally focus on hitting the flanks or the front lines rather than the first group that pops their heads.
Analyse your target and plan your attack. If you go down in the middle of a group, your allies are going to have a hard time reviving you. If you're between your allies and your enemies, it's easier for your allies to revive you. You might do more damage charging into the center, but it's high risk, and if you go down you jeopardize your team, which in turn jeopardizes any objective that's up.
In terms of weapon choices, I find the Geth Plasma Shotgun (GPS) to be good with the Battlemaster if you have it. It is decent at long range, and at close range it tears things apart! Multiple things, even. A trick is that you can melee, run, biotic charge, and perform other actions while you have a charged GPS. It's also has a good rate of fire, and from what I understand it tracks! The key thing is that you should try it out. Try a variety of things out.
Anyway, if you're good with a Turian Sentinel, awesome. I, personally, am quite impatient with him, but he's versitile, able to start or finish biotic and tech combos.

In my opinion, it sounds like you're doing your job. In order to perform better, it requires experience or deep analysis into "after action reports." No, don't write up what happen, just think about where things went wrong during the mission, like dying or someone else dying, how you can accomplish the objectives sooner, etc.
After you figure out what went wrong, think about what would have been the best course of action and how that would have improved the situation. At least, that's how I go about things.

It's a good thing I read the entire post before putting my foot in my mouth! *note: sarcasm*
Now that I know that, it's hard to say what weapon you should use. The Claymore should hit hard at close range, especially with the heavy caliber barrel. On a Drell Vanguard, I use a Eviserator, and it worked, at least on bronze.

Okay, now, see, you HAVE to play as Krogan now. All the time. Go. Now. Go now. Go play now. FOR TUCHANKA!
If you want peer review or to observe how someone else might play a particular class... well, that's why we put our screennames up. I'd say feel free to add any or all of us.
Origin IDs Ethaot and Showermonster (Broganisity on BSN) are both Vanguard players. Broganisity does play on Gold, so he might be your best bet on advice, but I wouldn't write off Ethaot either. Recommend you contact both.
If nothing else, I'll accept any and all friend requests, or I'll do it if you REALLY prefer. I'm on EST or GTM-5. Origin ID at sig.
