After playing ME3, are you still as hyped for the ME movies?
I was never hyped by a Jame Vega anime movie anyway so even less hyped now.
But the live action film, I am a bit less hyped to see it now I have to admit.
Still Hyped For the Movie?

Has anyone ever been hyped for a video game movie?

I was never hyped for the movie.
It's a video game movie. It's going to be bad.

I thought the original Resident Evil movie would be decent. After all, there have been good, scary zombie movies in the past.ahandsomeshark wrote...

Oh im totally excited, games made into movies are always oh so successful and follow the lore!
THe one saving grace is that ME3 already butchered the lore/universe so we wont be as appalled when A michael Bay type gets a hold of this movie and proceeds to knife it repeatedly

I feel like I watched someone kill my puppy after playing the end of ME3. It'll be a long time before I can get really excited about anything mass effect related.

why would I be hyped? Itd be like George Lucas trying to make a Star Wars game after the Death Star explodes and destroys the galaxy.( I understand this did not actually happen in episodes IV or VI)
Its like killing a universe then making a movie about how it was before the producers pulled the plug on the whole **** setting.

Was never hyped.
Aside from it being a videogame movie, I don't fancy watching my Shepard being trodden over by someone else's on the big screen

Well, its Legendary Pictures, they have an amazing track record. And most video game movies are awful because the games themselves are not good film material. Mass Effect however, can easily be the first video game movie to actually not suck.
At this point in time though, there is no information available, so I will reserve judgement untill I see some trailers, but I'm slightly optimistic.

I never was.
I'll get hyped, when they give something worth getting hyped over. Video game movies are usualy... well they are just terrible. Heh.
Only video game movie that has been "alright" was Silent Hill one. The problem was... it wasn't scary.

This. I was hyped for both the Mortal Kombat movie and FF: Spirits Within... (I was young
MK succeeded in its corniness and soundtrack... and Shang Tsung. But still sucked.
FF succeeded in James Woods' voice acting... but still sucked. Hard.
Never again.

I really wonder who they'd cast as Shepard. That dude from lost (not the one with the long hair the surgeon with the alcoholic dad or something) Kind of looks like default Shepard.
And if they cast Nathan Fillion I'd go see it even if it got a 2% from rotten tomatoes.

I thought the Final Fantasy one was going to be good in my childish hope. It was the first lesson of not wasting my money on movies "based" on video games.
