Usually hams to movies suck big time and that's the reason I was never hyped, now if we add the endings issues incase the movie is based.on this same story ,that will make it even worse

There once was a time that I worried the movie would do a lot of damage to the franchise. Then I played the Mass Effect 3 ending.

Even though the Resident Evil movies butchered the lore with a rusty cleaver, I love em. I will probably like the ME movies too.

Umm isn't ME is already a "cinematic" experience?
Why would I pay for a ME story that I can't control/shape in any way?

After the trainwreck that was the ending, no. Not hyped.
My friend, you already did. Thrice!

I think a prequel to the games would be awesome. But if the movie follows the gsme's story...fail.

I think it'll be interesting. What should happen is a series. With 150 hours of gameplay, three movies at 2-3 hours each wouldnt have any detail.
the song of ice and fire books (game of thrones) were really long. really long. they opted for a hbo series to maximize the story and its worked. that should be mass effect. not a movie. ME1 took me 40 hours to beat as a completionist. That isnt a 3 hour movie. so non completionist is maybe 20 hours? Still a long game to make into a 3 hours movie. bad idea.
but it'll be interesting.

Wasn't it initially supposed to be about The First Contact War?
At least, that's what I read some time ago.

It's a blatant cash grab, it always has been and always will be.
So no, I was never hyped for it and I along with a few people here loathe it since it was announced.
If anyone thought 3 was too "call of duty" wait til the movie. This day and age movies = watching someone shoot guns at different enemies.

And people are still talking about they want the movie in the 2011 thread about it. Where's all the "I was never hyped" people there?

It's going to be nearly as bad as ME3.

I feel like I watched someone kill my puppy after playing the end of ME3. It'll be a long time before I can get really excited about anything mass effect related.

I don't think I've watched a video game movie since Mortal Kombat.
They killed off Johnny Cage. The b******ds.
