I know some people would be pissed if the good ending was in the movies and not the games, but me, from where I sit, I'll take a different ending anyway I can get it. Hire Matthew Fox and let's do this!

Has anyone ever been hyped for a video game movie?
I thought the Final Fantasy one was going to be good in my childish hope. It was the first lesson of not wasting my money on movies "based" on video games.
yeah good point. I thought Tomb Raider would be good when I was like 10-11. I guess I should say has anyone with a fully developed frontal lobe ever been hyped for a video game.

I'm more hyped for it now because I am naively hoping they'll make 3 movies, they'll be just like the games (full paragon, sorry RenSheps) and then at the end THEY WONT DO THIS ENDING. That's what I hope.

Matthew Fox is the dude I was thinking of. Yeah he legit looks like Shepard. Though apparently Seth Green has already been ruled out as being cast as Joker so the movie would automatically fail.

But I live on planet earth where Video games are never made into good films because film makers don't understand, nor take the time to understand, what made the game great.

They already confirmed it's not.
Can't have a female protagonist in Hollywood unless she's an exploited sex object after all. Another reason why I hate Hollywood.

We know nothing about the plot, the characters, or even the actors who are in the alleged film. As far as we're concerned, the movie does not exist.

For two reasons.
First, it sounds like it's going to be a re-hash of ME1. Already been there, done that, seen that story, did it *my* way with *my* shep. Pass.
Second, with the current ending the trilogy has, and the depressing shadow coupled with gigantic plotholes it casts all the way back to the events of ME1, I have no desire to watch a movie who's story I know eventually ends as it does.

But along the way, there were some statements that the film would not actually be about Shepard but about new characters, supposedly so they wouldn't canonize a particular version of the game's story. Which I thought was a foolish idea to begin with. But, then again, maybe I imagined those statements.

You know, after watching Ridley Scott's Prometheus last trailer, I looked at Noomi Rapace and I couldn't help myself but to say ''Shepard''

ADAM BALDWIN FOR SHEPARD
let's just take the entire cast of firefly. And put them in this movie. Simon can play Kaidan. Adam Baldwin can play Presley, or idk someone else there's not a lot of human male characters now that I think about it, Nathan Fillion can play Shepard.

Well, with Fillion in the lead, it would automatically get more than 2 % (rightfully so).

Yeah now that I think about it they'd probably replace most of the alien characters with human dudes if they ever made it into a movie.

Mass Effect needs a fantastic writer for the script, and a director who will be faithful to the universe, and wont try to do his own thing with it. Thats hard to find given the egos that fly around when making a movie. I cringe when I think about what some shlub is going to do to the Bioshock film.
