One thing about movies is they have test audiences.
I'd love to see them pull the artistic integrity card when the test audiences tell them their ending sucks.

Ahahaha. Oh yeah. I was never much into Wing Commander, but I knew people that were.
They were certain it would be awesome, because it was actually directed by the creator of the games. Oh god the rage.

They already confirmed it's not.
Can't have a female protagonist in Hollywood unless she's an exploited sex object after all. Another reason why I hate Hollywood.

Well, then I don't care anymore.

Uh, now that you mention it, she would a good femShep!

Go away.

It depends on the woman. Megan Fox or any other hollywoodian bimbo would surely suck major ass as femShep.

For some reason even knowing how video game movies typically go I liked the idea of it even before it seemed offical... But as it stands I can't get hyped for anything mass effect.

Well, I'm unsure. Could they get Uwe Boll so that the artistic vision of the ending won't be diminished in the movie adaptation?

I lose hope for the live action ME movie as soon as they said the world 'Shepard'. Wasn't interested in the Vega anime, but considered it. However I did cancel my preorder for the Dragon Age movie due to the ME3 ending.

Not often you see the fanbase look at the possibility of a movie adaptation and go, "Please - PLEASE - do not stay true to the original."

Heh. Well, I'd take even her over the wooden manbots like Sam Worthington they'll likely get to fill the role.
Wouldn't be the first sci-fi film he's ruined with his complete inability to act.

I don't get hyped up for movies. I just go and watch them whenever I feel like it. As for the Mass Effect movie, I have no real interest in seeing Shepard on the big screen since it won't be my Shepard. But I would have went to support Mass Effect. After the ending of Mass Effect 3, it just seems a waste of time.

I was cautiously optimistic...when I was hoping that it would be something we haven't yet seen...such as the First Contact War.

Now that they said they want it to follow the first game, I have no interest in seeing it.

I beg to differ.
I could take any male actor, even Sam Worthington as long as it's not:
1-Nicolas Cage
2-Justin Timberlake (is he really considered an actor?)
3-Legol... ah-ehm I menat Orlando Bloom.

If Nolan did it then he wouldn't screw around and his staff could write circles around the Bioware staff and it everything would be tight and neat. Issue for people that played the game would be they wouldn't be in control of the decisions, but you can overcome that by doing a good movie and mixing some renegade and paragon actions. Love interest would be fine as well if it was in good hands. Sadly it would be an average team that would make it crappy more than likely.

You also would need  ILM or WETA for special effects.  Mandatory.

Funny. I saw the movie then talking to friends I was like, "Wait. That was a game first?"

Bit unrelated, but giving ending of ME3, I feel the need to post this. Another remake of movie where you have to guess if the events were real or false.

Total Recall.

=]

Except this time they downright tell it in the poster. Too bad, because it was more subtle in the original.

I always planned to never see the movie adaptation. ME3 ending doesn't change it. I still love pre-ending MEverse and I don't want to watch it being butchered by US movie industry.

Come now, Nick Cage as Shepard has tons of possibilites. Especially if they go to a bee planet.

I like Nolan, but I don't think I'd like to see him direct something like ME.  His scripts get a bit... wordy.

Edit:  I think it would be awesome seeing Guy Richie direct an ME movie if only to see how insane he could get with the editing.
