Bit unrelated, but giving ending of ME3, I feel the need to post this. Another remake of movie where you have to guess if the events were real or false.
Total Recall.
Except this time they downright tell it in the poster. Too bad, because it was more subtle in the original.
Subtlety is a lost art. Perhaps if it was still appreciated there wouldn't be nearly as much hype about the ME3 ending. Or at least perhaps the hype would be handled much differently.

I like Nolan, but I don't think I'd like to see him direct something like ME. His scripts get a bit... wordy.
Edit: I think it would be awesome seeing Guy Richie direct an ME movie if only to see how insane he could get with the editing.
Nolan probably wouldnt do it, not sure how keen he would be on sci fi. I think wordy for the script is good since ME is all about dialogue personally. Depends on what you want from it I guess though.
Guy Richie would get nuts LOL but hell it would fascinating. I honestly think this would work as a movie and would excited for it. Just need the right team that is GOOD not some average second class POS like Walters or Hudson making any decisions.
Drew K honestly would write a fine screenplay, he is an excellent writer and 1st class.

I sure hope you're not calling the ME3 ending subtle.

A movie based on a game revolving around player choice and building your own character?
Movie industry is just going to make him into a saintly good guy and it'll be like anything else out there.
And it's a movie. Based on a video game.
No.

Quite true. I just wish that the movie doesn't flatout tell everything and lets the viewer make their own conclusions about it.

It had Milla Jovovich killing someone with her legs. As a friend of mine said when he saw it: "That's how I want to die, between her legs."Maria Caliban wrote...
I thought the original Resident Evil movie would be decent. After all, there have been good, scary zombie movies in the past.

I really don't need to see it. Without interaction, Mass Effect isn't as awesome.
I don't know, the characters are pretty good.

ME3's ending was about as subtle as a boot to the face.
You do not get to call garbage subtle.

I really don't feel up for getting into a big pissing match over the ending, so I'll just summarize my response as saying look at what any advocate of the indoctrination theory is saying and just imagine I'm saying that here. That's subtlety.

golden rule of movies: if its based on a video game, 99% of the time it will suck. can anyone think of at least 3 video game movies that were truly good
I can't even think of one. That's why I'd rather them not do it.
