Hm...wasn't too excited to begin with-movies based on videogames, we have so many examples of those gone wrong and very very few that did right by the games they were based on! Even less interested now, after the ME3 endings-and LIs-debacles!:/

You know I was somewhat Hyped unitl someone pointed out Shepard would be a guy... and I just can't Dorothy Shepard I've known her for too long... she's voiced by Jennifer Hale... she's a great character. I don't give a crap about John Shepard or whatever.

Yeah, I wasn't particularly enthused about it to begin with; now, definitely not.

...I can't fathom a movie without the voice actors of the game. I mean Garrus without Brandon Keener would be like hearing Michael Jackson's voice come out of a rabbit.

I've never been interested in the movie.
The anime has potential though. It's being made by Production IG after all. For those who don't know much about anime, the anime they're most famous for (outside of Japan, anyway) is Ghost in the Shell (and obviously Stand Alone Complex too).

Who was ever hyped for the movie?

I don't want an ME movie that features Shepard. I'm against having a canon version of Shepard appear in a movie, or a canon version of any RPG character you can customise appearing in a movie.
If they did a spin-off movie that didn't feature Shepard though I'd be looking forward to it.

I've been expecting the live action Mass Effect movie to be awful from the moment they first started bouncing the idea around so I've never been excited for the movie.

Why would they do this ? Good luck to them .

The last time I was hyped for a sci-fi video game movie was Wing Commander.
I'll just leave it at that.

I hope I am wrong but it seems impossible to capture 25 hours of awesomeness and condense it to a 2 hour movie without seeming rushed. No video game made into a movie has ever been any good.
Mass effect TV series would be better.

See the thing is... I liked the fact that the comics and such managed to be ambiguous about Shepard's gender, at least the one that deals with Liara recovering her body... never refers to her as male or female just Shepard... I'd be cool with a movie, tv series or anime set in the Mass Effect universe that told a story other then Shepards, but the story of Shepard has already been told.

Considering that it's a story about Shepard, nope.
I want to see a story centered around a different person's POV.. Like a movie about a group of mercs making a living in the Terminus Systems or something like that and all the while the movie is dropping subtle hints about Shepard's exploits as well as a few chance encounters between said group and Reaper tech.

The movie industry managed to screw up Max Payne, the script of which is good enough to make a movie. Mass Effect? I'll pass. I was never interested in the first place.

I didn't even know there was a movie in the works. Having Shepard in the movie is a terrible idea. Alot of fans have their own personalized Shepard. Having a canon Shepard is just wrong. I would also prefer it be CGI but I doubt that would happen.

I'm indifferent right now. I need more info to feel anything for it. If they used the majority of the voice actors for roles then I'd be hyped. if not, then no. Again, need more info. too many variables.

never hyped for movie, never planned to see it and never plan to. Its an insult to the ME universe to bring it out of the interactive medium and establish something as cannon.

It should be a co-op production. Featured by Uwe Boll and Casey Hudson.
