Sad they wouldn't take the cupcakes.

I guess those kids'll like it though, so that's good.

Yep. I have all of the messages (not all were cut out by Fuss, they are the white print-out at back). And those are being kept by the team. {smilie}

If someone gave you a prize because you finished last in a race, would you accept it? Of course not.

Ever heard of the Golden Raspberry award for the worst actor in a motion picture?
Who would ever accept such an award with humility and good humor?
Ever heard of an actress called Sandra Bullock?

I can't say I like their responses implication that the only way of expressing reactions to Bioware should be through obsequious grovelling, but at least they are taking the criticism onboard... I mean they will 'Clarify' the ending for those of us too dense to understand it. lol

Nope. Anyone who disagrees with them are trolls. You forget this, or you haven't seen some of the threads they troll into oblivion.

They just took your cupcakes and tried to use them for their own good PR, which is why they told Game Informer about this and didn't just tell people on the forums. They wanted to make sure as many people as possible knew that they were "cool guys" who donated the cupcakes to kids. Using your money and foodstuffs in an attempt to draw public favor.

And yet, expect major gaming sites to pat them on the back for it while they spit on us for donating to charity.

Where did Bioware spit on you for donating? Or do you mean gaming sites?

And here I thought that they were fond of bittersweet flavor...

I'm afraid that when this is all over, "We are still listening" will take the place of both "U MAD?" and "cool story bro".

Why are some people upset they gave away the cupcakes to charity? You do realize they cannot all eat 400 cupcakes. The point is we got our message out there, and in the process some kids got a sweet treat. Win/Win.

Nobodies upset they gave them to charity thats great, it's the backhanded PR statement they don't like.

Fans make backhanded statement about Bioware all the time. It wouldn't be fair to not give them a chance.

I dont even understand why this statement is so "bad". We didnt bake them cupcakes because they did a good job, we did it to show them that they screwed up. Basically we stated "here is your failure printed on a delicious treat now EAT IT! EAT IT! And accept your failure".

Point is you shouldnt be upset that they didnt want to eat our cupcakes, I didnt care if they enjoyed them or not I simply wanted our message out there. We succeeded in doing that, they got the message, move on, wait til April, and then lets see what they do.

Blue, Red, or Green and guess what!
They picked a fourth option.

Now Bioware all we ask is for our fourth option...

This really bears repeating.

But I think would be nice if at least the Doctors and Mr. Hudson had eaten (or at least held in their hands) one cupcake each and took a picture of the scene, with a statement that they understand our point.

Indeed!

True!

But talking seriously, they did the best thing they could do. They understood the message and gave the cupcakes to children that will surely love them. Don't read too much into their statements. He didn't want to say they will only accept "praise and glory". He in fact said that they got it, we didn't like the RGB choice. I think eating the cupcakes and just saying "thankyou" would be way more rude than giving them to the children. If they did that, it would look like they didn't care at all about the criticism.
But I think would be nice if at least the Doctors and Mr. Hudson had eaten (or at least held in their hands) one cupcake each and took a picture of the scene, with a statement that they understand our point.
Anyway, message sent and received, cupcakes going for the children... I guess it's a win.
Bioware took the HAPPY ENDING instead of RGB.

We don't know what the intentions were, you are correct.

Can you imagine them having to eat four hundred cupcakes though?

There were certainly more than four hundred names in the credits. I know because I watched them with rapt attention, assuming the "real ending" must come afterward. Instead, I just got, well, I don't even need to mention.

I actually think this ended up the best possible way.

I appreciated the idea behind the cupcakes, but it was taken to a nasty level with the inclusion of the sharp-tongued notes that went with them. Something like that can only hurt the morale of the good people who put so much hard work into the game. Remember, story decisions are made by a few people, but hundreds of people are required to do the work to put the game together. There's no need for all those people to have their morale attacked with "IRONY!!" when they're just doing their jobs (and an epic-scale job it is).

On the flipside, we get to make snide remarks about how BioWare wanted a fourth option! That should amuse us for a few hours. Right?

The kids getting a tasty treat is the best thing to come of this, and we should content ourselves with that.

But to declare that there's nothing wrong with them is objectively wrong.

Can't believe they gave them away because they weren't to "celebrate" their hard work? Yeah, I'm done with BioWare.

Perhaps we should all "donate" our copies of ME3 to our local game store.

Most A-listers don't actually turn up to accept that award though. It's a rarity for a actor/actress to accept it, not the norm.
