I really despite the people that think it was a "nice" gesture by mocking them and sending them cupcakes in different "color/taste". If you were an employee, you wouldn't really be eating it with joy, you'd be eating something that people despise, and it's really a negative act made from whoever baked those cupcakes and whatnot. (Or well, ordered)
I fully respect Bioware for giving them away to charity, rather then make their own employees eat them. It's despicable and downright embarrasing to part of a community that would so such an tunnelvisioning act.
Really downright mindboggling. How can anyone in their right mind even believe this was an nice gesture is beyond me.
It's a subtle "Here's your ****-up in a eatable-state".
Thats the point. They got what they gave us and didn't like it. In essence its a sweet way to get our points across.

No they didn't. They didn't give us the endings out of spite.

Does the choice matter? Your belly gets filled and it's tasting delicious...unlike the feeling/taste I had after finishing the game

Thoughts? This should cost less than 100 bucks and I'm sure we could get that amount very very fast if people think its a good idea. Its kinda like the idea to send cupcakes to kids with many different plavors but I think they should go to bioware, also hopefully they will enjoy these ones as much of the game is fantastic and a tasty treat they should be able to enjoy.

Btw, I don't think it's bad that they "rejected" the cupcakes. They got them, get the message, donated them, that's it. What's so wrong about that?
It was a humorous approach to the endings that didn't punch them in the face. I still support that.

We should do a very small follow up to this. Have Fuss cupcakes makes 19 more to send to bioware. 3 of them will be the same as before A B C all the same, the message will be "This is what you gave us..." Then have Fuss make a box of 16 completely different cupcakes with a message "This is what we wanted... Please make it happen Bioware and enjoy the cupcakes!"

And you think they will accept those cupcakes with a snide message because?

They will only accept messages we send (cupcakes or otherwise) if they are wholly congratulatory and celebratory? Sounds exactly in line with previously issued statements. They are nothing if not consistent.
Except they have stated previously that they will take constructive criticism and feedback if it is useful and well thought out, however, they will not take it if it is not helpful, or if it is insulting.
These cupcakes are insulting. Good on them for turning it into something positive for the kids.
If the cupcakes were insulting, so were the ends. Only that we didn't have the choice to give the "solutions" away for charity and ignore the godchild.
Except theres one big difference between their "insulting" you, and your insulting them.
They did not go out of their way to intentionally insult their playerbase. They did not release the endings thinking their players would be insulted.
YOU all sent the cupcakes INTENDING to insult BioWare.

Like those cupcakes were not sent out to be insulting, but to show Bioware that we care about the game, and as it stands now, we do not feel that they have made the best out of it yet. If we wanted to insult them, we could have sent rotten meat leftovers.
Yet we sent professionally made, probably very delicios cupcakes - and to interpret Biowares reaction with their own argumentation - Those at Bioware feeling insulted by our delivery of colorful sweetness are simply not able to comprehend the artistic meaning behind it.
Like everything we do, we wanted to encourage Bioware to make Mass Effect Series memorable - not with the possibly worst ending, but as one of the best game series created so far.

Wha...?
Nobody insulted anybody with the whole "cupcake affair", nor was it "intended" by the ones who sent them, as you wrongly claim my good sir. It was a humorous approach from fans, which was exactly seen as such by BioWare.
You've seen statemants from BioWare employees regarding this matter, yes?
The only one who seems to feel insulted is you, sorry to say that.

Oh this wasn't in the spirit of celebrating the game so trollololol SERIOUSLY?! REALLY!?!
lol, no I find it awesome they gave them to charity.... what were they going to do with 400 cupcakes? Imagining those kids confused as to why the cupcakes are labeled A,B,and C
Great job everyone... Bioware got the message, and you guys brightened a bunch of kids days... I say thats a win win.
We must wait till PAX.... for the answers we demand

Oh yeah! They totally got the humour of it, which is why they ate them all and posted pictures of how hilarious it was. Oh wait, you mean in this universe? They refused to eat them.
You sent them cakes, in three different colours with A B and C, with one flavour, covered in notes filled with smart comments. And you are seriously going to sit there and say there was no backhanded slap in that gift.
Really?

The gesture certainly gained our attention both with its creativity and deliciousness. However, while we do appreciate that fans were creative in how they expressed their views, after a lot of discussion, we decided ultimately the reason that they were sent was not done in the context of celebrating the work or accomplishment of the Mass Effect 3 team. This is a subtle, but important aspect in determining how to pass the feedback to the team.
It is and it is not. It is, because we want Bioware to remember that we actually like them, their work, and, fundamentally, the game up until the end. And also that we felt cheated by the end of the game, because the rest of the game was so spectacular.

Exactly. It was a reminder that "we care" BUT "we don't like the endings" - so here's some sugar to help that go down easier.

While I know this is meant as a humorous, if somewhat sad, statement, this was my point a couple pages back.
I wouldn't wish these kids such ending(s) as ME3, for fear of depressing them even more than they already are. Yeah, most are probably not old enough yet to play it, but someday they might. Especially now with such a nice gesture from Bioware themselves.

The cupcakes were meant to BE A POSITIVE STATEMENT that we as MASS EFFECT FANS still loved the creation that Bioware created, we recognized their hard work, dedication and love that each member of Bioware put into creating the Mass Effect universe.
That we as fans of Mass Effect wanted to let Bioware know that inspite of the negative/abusive comments sent their way, it wasn't the view of all fans and wanted Bioware to be recognized for their achievements thus far.
Yes we also didn't like the ending but are hopeful that we as fans will be heard.
I thought it was a nice thought and I'm glad that some kids got to eat a lot of cupcakes.

Probably should have sent normal cupcakes with the message in your post rather than cupcakes themed to mock the ending covered in messages of disappointment and backhanded humour. Just a thought.
