360 doesn't have wifi? Crazy. I'd just take that as a hint to use a real computer.
Newer models certainly do.

Yeah, I don't know where that guy got his information from. Maybe a Sony honk.

Join the 20th century.
I'm in the 21st century which is why I don't have access on my 360. I don't own an ethernet cord because why the hell would I in 2012 when there's wifi everywhere. And I damn sure don't plan on paying Microsoft to allow me to access internet I ALREADY PAY FOR.
You are correct. It is the 21st centurey. Where are my flying cars, dammit!?
Also, Microsoft does not charge you for online access. Silver accounts are totally free and that is all you would need in order to download any patch or dlc.
However, If you have an older xbox without built-in wifi, then you have a valid point. Ethernet cords are actually not expensive, though. I can let you borrow one of mine if you'd like.
yeah I have one of the original ones. and ethernet cords are like 12 bucks where I live (on a campus). That would mean like 2 weeks of having to steal fruit from the dining hall.

Pretty much they need to find a way to get online, or BioWare will sell a DLC disk that has the DLC on it.
wait they are going to charge offline players for the Free DLC? that doesn't sound right
If it was free online, but you can't/won't get online so they print it on disks then yes, they would need to charge. Because they would need to make a physical product that gets packaged, shipped, and sold in a store.
So even IF BioWare took the hit on the production of the DLC and made the actual content free. People would still need to pay the store they bought it from, the company that makes the disks and packages them, as well as those that transport them.
wow so $60 doesnt get you the full game anymore? geez thats harsh. i hope it doesnt go that they start selling you $30 for half the game and you have to wait another 6 months and pay another $30 for the other half and then another $5 for the ending

Your XBox has a network cable port. If you don't or can't get the internet where you live then you will have to take your XBox to somewhere that you can, plug it in, and log into XBox Live. You do not need a paid XBox Live gold account to get patches, so if its just a patch then you're good. I think you can get DLC, too.
And if it is released on a disk as well, then yes you'll have to pay for that. It costs money to burn and ship the physical disks, while downloading doesn't cost Bioware anything. So if you can't be bothered to joint the 21st century and get online then you will have to pay for the convenience of them providing a disk.

your real point of the thread was to get others to agree with you so you don't feel like the only one with no DLC.
no not at all. i asked exactly how it was stated how BW would make it so that offline people would get it. and this answer was "pay online to get free dlc" see the problem buddy o pal?

also, get used to it. I mean really. sooner or later there wont even be retail disks anymore, it will all be steam/origin/whatever digital downloads. will keep production costs down and prices of games.
If you don't have internet... get it, or move. This is the digital age, plus aren't you on the internet right now?
I said no ignorant flame comments please. if you don't have anything nice to say then please be a good citizen and don't say anything
BTW 2 of my friends dont have online they dont use internet because they can't afford it they paid $60 for the full game now you are telling them during this economic time to go by a cable and pay for online to get a FREE DLC? ya wanna rethink that one smart one?
look no hard feelings here. this is not a flame...
"this economic time"?
look dude. if you cant afford a car. then get a bike.
if you cant afford a house, rent
if you cant afford food, you die
life sucks but if you cant afford internet to download DLC, then read a book.
once again not really a flame, this is just... life. Handouts rarely happen. Don't blame the economy, blame your low paying job.

Alright, not it is just starting to look like you don't want an answer and you are just looking for a reason to get mad. We don't even know if an ending fix will be free. If it even comes for sure. If it is free for online consumption than that's awesome, and there should be a way to get online. If there is absolutly no way to get online and they provide another way to get this DLC then YES it will probably cost money. But it will be cheaper than the internet connection that you would pay for to download it for free.
You can't expect it to be free in this situation you have created where you have no way to get online at all. It's just not realistic. So once again your options for getting this DLC should it come out are the following.
1) Find a way to get an internet connection to download it.
2) Hope that it comes released in a disk form and purchase it from a store.

Jessica Merizan said in tweets that Bioware would like to put all upcoming DLC on discs. But if they do that, then it wont be "FREE" it cost money to do that. digital downloads are dirt cheap to supply. by HAVING to include disc cost for you, you up the price on us non disc users

aw yes because we all rich right? no economic problems where people are trying hard to get jobs? (stewie griffin) ya i thought so. BTW its the 21st century.
Who is we? You're online right now.
1/4 of players aren't online. my friend doesn't get online. alot of gamers don't because of the economy. most of my friends have been using my colleges' computers and stopped paying for TV. Cali its rough here.
also on a lot of campuses you can't get online. At my school not every dorm has wifi and you can only have one device online at a time.
ya my firend's are lucky its a school for Videogame design and other technology careers. i love how alot of people on here that are teemagers think college kids are rich XD man wait til them get to college haha then they will be asking these exact questions.

so can you download DLC without gold membership?
Yes you can. But you can`t play multiplayer unless you have a gold Membership. So you are basically forced to get one, if you want to get the perfect ending for the game. Its impossible to get a high enough ems if you don`t play multiplayer...
